TWO FOR TUESDAY

Not every song that will be featured here will be what is generally considered as being “Christian” in the eyes of this world. For some will be anguished cries from the pit of despair, and others will be quite obviously ferverent rants of rebellion. Nonetheless, be assured that they will all be of our Heavenly Father (in one way or another) and I hope that you have been given ears to hear the message.

Draggin’ The Line
Tommy James & The Shondells
Makin' a livin'
The old hard way
Takin' and givin'
By day by day
I dig snow and rain
And the bright sunshine
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line

My dog Sam
Eats purple flowers
Ain't got much
But what we got is ours
We dig snow and rain
And the bright sunshine
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line

I feel fine
I'm talkin' 'bout
Peace of mind
I'm gonna
Take my time
I'm gettin' the good sign
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line

Lovin' the free
And feelin' spirit
Of hugging a tree
When you get near it
Diggin' the snow and rain
And the bright sunshine
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line

I feel fine
I'm talkin' 'bout
Peace of mind
I'm gonna
Take my time
I'm gettin' the good sign
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line
La la la la la la la la la
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line
La la la la la la la la la
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line
La la la la la la la la la
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line
La la la la la la la la la
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line
La la la la la la la la la
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line
La la la la la la la la la
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line
La la la la la la la la la
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line
La la la la la la la la la
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line
La la la la la la la la la
Draggin' the line
Draggin' the line
La la la la la la la la la

Crystal Blue Persuasion
Tommy James & The Shondells
Look over yonder
What do you see
The sun is a-risin'
Most definitely
A new day is comin'
Woo-hoo
People are changin'
Ain't it beautiful
Woo-hoo
Crystal blue persuasion

Better get ready
Gonna see the Light
Love
Love is the answer
Woo-hoo
And that's all right
So don't you give up now
Woo-hoo
It's so easy to find
Just look to your soul
Look to your soul
And open your mind

Crystal blue persuasion
Aha
It's a new vibration
Crystal blue persuasion
Crystal
Blue persuasion

Maybe tomorrow
When He looks down
On every green field
Woo-hoo
And every town
All of His children
In every nation
There'll be
Peace and good
Brotherhood
Crystal blue persuasion
Yeah

Crystal blue persuasion
Aha
Crystal blue persuasion
Aha
Ooh yeah
Crystal blue persuasion
Aha
Crystal blue persuasion
Aha
Crystal blue persuasion
Aha
Crystal blue persuasion
Aha
Crystal blue persuasion
Aha
Ooh la-la la-la la-la la-la
Yeah
Yeah

  3. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Grace!!! Oh I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Draggin' The Line, and I feel the same way about Crystal Blue Persuasion. Although, I was very surprised to see what the lyrics really are to the song.

  4. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Sandie!!! Tommy James being so good-looking didn't have anything to do with that--did it?
