Come Monday...Tumblr.

“Come Monday…” is a weekly series that will involve a review of, or commentary about,  websites, movies, documentaries, television shows, sports, music, and whatever else may tickle my fancy at the time.  Be assured that these reviews will be generally positive, as in accordance to the Jimmy Buffett song “Come Monday.”  This is subject to change, however.  In fact, I would be most derelict in my duties to neglect going on a rant every once in a while.  For rants promote change, and change can be good—right?  Therefore, since good is generally considered as being a positive force in 99.3% of the parallel universes that I am aware of, even a rant could be considered as being something positive, and a genuine hissy-fit would be even better (so I’m told).

I have been running across of few [tumblr.] sites while adding to the list for a future [Sites To See], and I am wondering why any “regular” people would want to make the switch.  For if the fairly new blogging platform really does make it easier for some sort of commercial enterprise to get what they have to offer out there on Facebook, Twitter, smart phone apps and whatever else may become the next big thing, I can see where it would have its advantages, but I am yet to find where one can simply leave a comment.

Yes, with more and more businesses becoming more and more automated—especially online, it is highly unlikely that a comment would actually be read by someone who could actually respond.  Therefore, most no longer bother, but for a regular person, there isn’t a better way of gaining a following than personally responding to comments.

Alas, there are considerably more than a few “regular people” out there in the blogosphere, who evidently don’t care about interacting with their readers, which has been a source of great irritation for me.  Yeah, I suppose I shouldn’t care, but it really does make me mad (in every sense of the word).

Yep, that’s about all I have time for at this time.  Please refer to [Didley Squat] to find out why.  However, be assured that I will make time to respond to any comments left.
