“Come Monday…” is a
weekly series that will involve a review of (or commentary about) websites,
movies, documentaries, television shows, sports, music, and whatever else may
tickle my fancy at the time. Be assured
that these reviews will be generally positive, as in accordance to the Jimmy
Buffett song “Come Monday.” This is
subject to change, however. In fact, I
would be most derelict in my duties to neglect going on a rant every once in a
while. For rants promote change, and
change can be good—right? Therefore,
since good is generally considered as being a positive force in 99.3% of the
parallel universes that I am aware of, even a rant could be considered as being
something positive, and a genuine hissy-fit would be even better (so I’m told).
Since
it was the Seattle Seahawks that had the 43 in Super Bowl XLVIII (48), I won’t
have much to say about the game. I will,
however, say that the Denver Broncos were not beaten by the Seahawks. For a team has to show up for the game before
they can be beaten.
Oh,
it was a very sad evening to be a Peyton Manning fan. For he didn’t show up for the game, either.
Nonetheless,
it was a fairly good evening for one who enjoys a truly great commercial or two
on occasion. Maybe I have become
spoiled? For there were only three or
four super bowl commercials that Arlynda and I wanted to back up the DVR for
another look-see at. Whereas, I can
remember the line-up from years past having one awesome commercial after
another throughout the broadcast.
In
any event, I am still too distraught over the Broncos making it that much easier for idiots to insist that defense wins championships to make a clear judgment on what commercial was the best and the worst. So, I will just include some awesome and
awful ones below. I look forward to
hearing what you have to say about them, though.
