Link: [The Hooters]
Not every song that
will be featured here will be what is generally considered as being “Christian”
in the eyes of this world. For some will
be anguished cries from the pit of despair, and others will be quite obviously
fervent rants of rebellion. Nonetheless,
be assured that they will all be of our Heavenly Father (in one way or another)
and I hope that you have been given ears to hear the message.
All You Zombies
The Hooters
Holy Moses met the
Pharaoh
Yeah he tried to
set him straight
Looked him in the eye
Looked him in the eye
Let my people go
Holy Moses on the mountain
High above the golden calf
Went to get the Ten Commandments
Yeah he's just gonna break ‘em in half
All you zombies
hide your faces
All you people in the street
All you sittin' in high places
The pieces gonna fall on you
No one ever spoke to Noah
They all laughed at him instead
Workin’ on his ark
Workin’ all by himself
All you people in the street
All you sittin' in high places
The pieces gonna fall on you
No one ever spoke to Noah
They all laughed at him instead
Workin’ on his ark
Workin’ all by himself
Only Noah saw it comin’
Forty days aAnd forty nights
Took his sons and daughters with him
Yeah they were the Israelites
All you zombies hide your faces
All you people in the street
All you sittin' in high places
The rain gonna fall
on you
Holy Father what's the matter
Where have all your
children gone
Sittin' in the dark
Livin’ all by themselves
You don't have to hide anymore
All you zombies show your faces
All you people in the street
All you sittin' in high places
The pieces gonna fall on you
All you zombies show your faces
Sittin' in the dark
Livin’ all by themselves
You don't have to hide anymore
All you zombies show your faces
All you people in the street
All you sittin' in high places
The pieces gonna fall on you
All you zombies show your faces
I know you’re out
there
All you people in the street
All you people in the street
Let’s see you
All you sittin' in high places
The Son is gonna fall on you
All you sittin' in high places
The Son is gonna fall on you
And We Danced
The Hooters
Hey
Hey
She was a be-bop
baby
On a hard day's
night
She was hangin' on Johnny
He was holdin' on tight
Oh I could feel her comin’
She was hangin' on Johnny
He was holdin' on tight
Oh I could feel her comin’
From a mile away
There was no use talkin’
There was nothin’ to say
When the band began to play
There was no use talkin’
There was nothin’ to say
When the band began to play
And play
And we danced
Like a wave on the ocean romanced
We were liars in love
And we danced
Swept away for a moment
Swept away for a moment
By chance
And we danced
And we danced
And danced
And danced
I met my be-bop baby
I met my be-bop baby
At the Union Hall
She could dance all night
She could dance all night
And shake the paint
off the wall
But when I saw her smile
But when I saw her smile
Across a crowded
room
Well I knew we’d have to leave
Well I knew we’d have to leave
The party soon
As the band began to play
As the band began to play
Out of tune
And we danced
Like a wave on the
ocean romanced
We were liars in
love
And we danced
Swept away for a
moment
By chance
And we danced
And danced
And danced
And we danced
The endless beat
She's walkin' my way
Hear the music
Fade when she says
Are we getting’ too
close
Do we dare to get closer
The room is spinnin’
Do we dare to get closer
The room is spinnin’
As she whispers my
name
And we danced
Like a wave on the
ocean romanced
We were liars in
love
And we danced
Swept away for a
moment
By chance
And we danced
And danced
And we danced
Like a wave on the
ocean romanced
We were liars in
love
And we danced
Swept away for a
moment
By chance
And we danced
And danced
And danced
And danced
And danced
And danced
And danced
And danced
And danced
And we danced
And we danced
And we danced
And we danced
And danced
And danced
And danced
And danced
And danced
And danced
And danced
And danced

I never heard the first song and I have to say I didn't really care for it all that much. I like the second though
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by again, my dear Ann!!! Even thought it was one of their most popular songs, I don't remember All You Zombies. On the other hand, And We Danced is one of my all-time favorites. Subsequently, the lyrics to All You Zombies came as quite a shock.
