Back during my childhood, our parents would often load up my brother and me after Sunday morning church services for a leisurely drive around where we lived. Even though we were seeing mostly familiar sights, it was still good to see them, and this is why “A Sunday Drive” sounded about right for the name of a weekly series revisiting familiar sites that are well worth seeing again and again. Starting my day a bit early for a Sunday so I will need to stop frequently for coffee on the drive this morning.
Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Ann!!! Since Lin usually has to take her little breaks every five miles or so, I don't see a problem.
Jerry - thank you so much. When I was a kid - early / mid sixties we used to do the same. . . Sunday drives. Once we ranged very, very far and we had ice cream at a place that seemed to be a hundred miles from home. A half-dozen or so years later, on my first day of high school, our bus drove right past king kone. It was about 6 miles from our house on a side road that we'd never have had any reason to travel. It goes without saying, I suppose, that high school was a side road that I (in retrospect) never had any reason to travel either.
So it goes.
Traveling to the half-life of linoleum brings you to upstate new york by the way.
