Come Monday...OCProducts

We were in need of some ink (AGAIN!!!) for our Dell V305 printer, which came with the new computer we were blessed with a little over a couple of years ago now. So, I started searching online for the best deal on the high-capacity ink cartridges that work with it.

Yeah, “high-capacity”—my tookis! Since when did an ounce or two of anything become a lot, except for in the case of cocaine or heroin, which are probably cheaper to buy in certain markets?

Anyway, since we have been generally quite satisfied with what we have ordered on Amazon.com, I concentrated my search there, and I soon “found” a great deal from [OCProducts]. For they were offering a set (black and color) of Dell Series 9 high-capacity ink cartridges for $18.27 at the time while just a color cartridge will cost you $26.99 at [Dell].

Too good to be true? Well, kinda. For what we actually received were remanufactured cartridges, which do have their drawbacks. For some printers will not recognize remanufactured cartridges, which means that you will not get a reading on how much ink is left, as was the case with what we received. Furthermore, some remanufactured cartridges just plain do not work right, as was also the case with the color cartridge that we received.

Oh, but there is a rest to this story. For instead of submitting a nasty report to Amazon when they asked about how satisfied we were with our purchase, I sent a curt little email to OCProducts that told just how dissatisfied we were.

Quite frankly, I did not expect to hear a peep out of them, but here a reply came. Now, I will not go into any details about how hard they tried to be of service. For there are some, who would undoubtedly try to take advantage of what they did for us. Suffice to say, OCProducts has proven to me that they truly are a company that really cares about their customers, and I would highly recommend shopping with them for whatever they have available.

Oh no, they are not just in the printer ink remanufacturing business. For they offer all sorts of things that many of you just can’t live without.

Yes, as matter of fact, I do know this to be true. So, please do yourself a favor and go [here] to see what I am talking about.

  1. When I dragged myself into the digital age and purchased my first scanner/printer I almost had a heart attack when I found out the price of ink. Good to know there are still some good companies out there who are not looking for ways to rip you off at every turn.

  2. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Ryan!!! I am thinking about going with a Kodak printer next. For they are advertised as being the best at saving you a lot of money on ink, and OCProducts has some Kodak models for sale. Of course, with you being a true Scot...

  3. I had the same problem with the off-brand, re-filled ink cartridges - worked a few times then my Canon refused to recognize them at all! I buy directly from Canon now, still expensive but less than any other stores.

Kodak will be the next one I buy too - got good reviews and yes, the ink is way less expensive than other brands.

  4. I purchased "new" ink cartridges online and received remanufactured ones and they were leaking to boot. Luckily the company I bought from was very good about replacing it.
At Christmas time I bought from someone I didn't "investigate" first and ended up getting burned. Why I didn't follow my rule about online shopping I'll never know but live and learn I guess.

  5. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Grace!!! We had basically the same problem with our first printer, which was a Canon. For after a few remanufactured cartridges, it quit printing right. Considering no more than we actually print, I suppose it really shouldn't be a big deal, but it still gets my goat to have to pay so much to print out 20 or so 8.5 X 11 full color pictures.

  6. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Ann!!! That was pretty much what happened to us. For I did not realize that I was actually ordering remanufactured cartridges, but since OCProducts has gone to such great lengths to be of service to us, I will be doing more business with them when I can. I don't know if they have anything that you might want, but they do have camera prducts.

  7. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Adullamite!!! Yeah, I am fairly sure that this is what happened to our Canon and Lexmark. Hopefully, the Dell will not die a premature death, but if it does, we are already eyeballin' Kodaks.

  9. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Sandie!!! Alas, free enterprise often leads to enslavement, but the alternative would be worse.

  13. Also as to the thought of paying through the nose for cartridges. I have gone with a continuous inking system instead. Ink is a lot cheaper.

  14. Thank you for all of the info, my dear Anonymous! I am going to have to check out that continuous linking system as soon as I can.

  15. Oops, my currently poor eyesight got me again. For you were referring to a continuous "inking" system--not a continuous "linking" system. Sorry about that, my dear Anonymous.
