Come Monday...Debbie (Simone) Simon's Sunbuddy

“Come Monday…” is a weekly series that will involve a review of, or commentary about, websites, movies, documentaries, television shows, sports, music, and whatever else may tickle my fancy at the time. Be assured that these reviews will be generally positive, as in accordance to the Jimmy Buffett song “Come Monday.” This is subject to change, however. In fact, I would be most derelict in my duties to neglect going on a rant every once in a while. For rants promote change, and change can be good—right? Therefore, since good is generally considered as being a positive force in 99.3% of the parallel universes that I am aware of, even a rant could be considered as being something positive, and a genuine hissy-fit would be even better (so I’m told).

If you have read the parts in [The Crackerhead Chronicles] about my high school days and beyond, you will know that I considered my first wife to be absolutely drop-dead gorgeous. In fact, I was not the only one who thought of her as being comparable with [Jaclyn Smith] of the original [Charlie’s Angels].

Be assured that Sam was not the only girl in our school at the time who looked that good, and Debbie Simon was most certainly one of them. Now, I am not sure just when the picture above was taken, but that is her. No, the picture does not do her justice. It is, however, close enough to give you an idea of just how spectacular she is.

Thanks to [Facebook], I reconnected with her a few days ago. She would rather go by Simone now, but she is still the super sweet friend I have many fond memories of.

Oh no, she was most definitely not just another beautiful face. For she was just as gorgeous on the inside as she was on the outside, and it would appear that she has become a very successful businesswoman, to boot.

The name of her company is [Sunbuddy], and it markets naturally-based sunscreen and insect repellant products. No, I do not have any personal experience with any of them, but considering how fair-skinned she is, it would have to be good stuff. Besides, I cannot imagine her misrepresenting anything to anyone.

Of course, there is only one way of knowing for sure, and that would be to try it for yourself. Aside from her other site, you can also go [here] to see if she might have what you are looking for in regards to protecting against [melanoma] this summer.

Even though it is not quite as serious as skin cancer, turning beet-red with water blisters is another condition that she might be able to help you to avoid. Be assured that this is something that I am all too painfully familiar with from years past, and adding mosquito bites to the mix adds all the more to the misery.

  1. Your friend is very pretty, how great that you reconnected with her. The internet is such a wonderful place sometimes. As for blisters, I had a lot of those in my younger years, thankfully I don't burn like I used to.

  2. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Ann!!! Be assured that it is a wonder (by our Heavenly Father's hand, of course) that I haven't died from skin cancer long ago. For I would average at least two major sunburn episodes, complete with large water blisters, which is an indication of second degree burns, every summer during my childhood.

  3. My dear Anonymous,
I have asked Debbie about this, and she has no idea who you may be, nor what this is all about. If you would care to leave your name, maybe she would? Until then, I will certainly continue to delete your disrespectful comments.

Since the Blogger spam filter has been found sorely lacking lately, I will start moderating comments. Be assured that I am only interested in deleting spam. So, if you feel a need to take me to task over something—even anonymously, go ahead and let 'er rip, and I will publish it as soon as I can.
