Let It Go
WhiteHeart
It’s an open window
A high flyin’ eagle
This hope in my heart of hearts
It’s whole lot better
To let go with the anger
Those things were tearing us apart
Oh oh oh
Now I can look into your eyes
With nothing held inside
It’s like after the storm
There’s a ray of gold
That’s how it feels
To let it go
It’s like Heaven has come
And opened the gates of your soul
To let it go
I got a whole new freedom
‘Cause I’m finally seein’
I’m seein’ you in the light of love
I’m not gonna judge you
I just wanna love you
There are no walls between us now
Now you can look into my eyes
With nothing held inside
Oh it’s like after the storm
There’s a ray of gold
That’s how it feels
To let it go
It’s like Heaven has come
And opened the gates of your soul
Yeah yeah
It’s a journey back into innocence
You feel the touch of tenderness
Your heart turns to gold
When you let it go
Let it go
It’s like after the storm
There’s a ray of gold
That’s how it feels
To let it go
It’s like Heaven has come
And opened the gates of your soul
Yeah yeah
It’s a journey back into innocence
You feel the touch of tenderness
Your heart turns to gold
When you let it go
Yeah yeah
So let it go

You are quickly changing my opinion of Christian music, my friend.
ReplyDeleteThis ones a winner, we like it :)
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites. Too bad that one signalled the end of the WhiteHeart rhythm section (Gordon Kennedy, Tommy Simms and Chris McHugh).
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by again, my dear Ryan!!! Yeah, it blew my mind that there even was such a thing as "Gospel Rock" back in '93, which was when I first started listening to contemporary Christian music. For I was raised up on tradition Christian hymns, which are great, but this kind of music is another thing entirely. "The Flame Passes On" is the song that really turned me on to WhiteHeart. It's turn is scheduled to be coming up again sometime in October or November, but in the meantime, you can listen to it here: http://asthecrackerheadcrumbles.blogspot.com/2009/07/whiteheart-wednesday_08.html
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by again, my dear Ann!!! Yeah, I had a "feeling" that you and Duke would really like this one, and I am really glad you-all did.
ReplyDeleteYou know I never could figure out the words to this song. now it makes more sense. and no I will not be repeating "My Lyrics" as they are just too crazy. thanks for this one. Have a Blessed and Peaceful Day.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by again, my dear Dwacon!!! Yeah, it is a sad day when band members go--especially in a band like WhiteHeart. For in order to make the kind of music that they did, they had to be more like family than just associates, but at least the show went on for several more albums without any loss in quality. In fact, I consider "Highlands" to be their very best, and it came out after "Freedom."
ReplyDeleteAh, but I imagine your lyrics are also good. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear BadGal!!!
