Saturday Morning Cartoons (+)

No, it is not that I am in the midst of experiencing a second or third childhood.  For it is arguable that I have never really grown up because of my march toward maturity being interrupted along the way by some episodes of arrested development.  So, instead of thinking that this series is meant as a wistful look back upon a simpler time, think of it as being a rather simplistic mind remaining in a moment for an extended period of time.  In any event, I hope you find it enjoyable.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Lee!!! This is actually a short film that goes along with the movie, Ice Age. Pixar has produced several of them that both go along with their feature films and stand alone in their own light.

    2. I'm really not that much into animation, I suppose. I prefer looking at real people act; but, I did enjoy "Finding Nemo" and "Shrek". I loved the cartoons at the Saturday matinees when I was a kid and I loved "Bambi" and the rest of the Disney stable, also when I was a kid, of course. A couple or so years ago, one Saturday morning when I was reading the paper I stumbled across "The Fox and the Hound"...and got suck in. I really enjoyed it. However, 99.9% of the time I prefer humans playing humans.

But, maybe I should change my viewing habits....humans playing humans in the real world aren't at all attractive these days.

    3. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Lee!!! I hear you, and I am much the same way. Although, I suppose it depends upon the character. As with Scrat here, I just see a prehistoric squirrel trying to horde more nuts than he could ever possibly chew. Of course, if I had some hording tendencies, I probably wouldn't think it was so funny. As with Bambi, I was blessed with being clueless at the time. For I hated the film because of the tragedy involved, but I never equated it with my own deer-hunting not so long later on.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Ann!!! I am amazed at how well you are holding up. I want to send my mother-in-law to stay with you-all to help fill the void, but Arlynda won't let me. Sigh.

  4. I hadn;t seen this one. It is good but I always prefer the ones that were hand drawn years ago. The vintage style appeals to me.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Shadow!!! Well, as long as I do not let the similarities between his frustrations and my own get to me. Sigh.
