A Sunday Drive

Back during our childhood, our parents would often load up my brother and me after Sunday morning church services for a leisurely drive around where we lived.  Even though we were seeing mostly familiar sights, it was still good to see them again, and this is why “A Sunday Drive” sounded about right for the name of a series revisiting familiar sites that are well worth seeing again and again.  The link below the image is to the site itself, and the image is linked to the post it was first included in here.

  1. We used to go on Sunday drives too ~ it was so boring. Dad would drive for miles. And when we started fighting in the backseat he would stop the car and tell us to get out and walk. that shut us up.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Carol!!! I don't think my parents would have thought of our trips as being boring. Tiresome would probably be more like it, with me often acting up. Sigh.

  4. I could live very comfortably in that little log cabin...as long as it had indoor plumbing.

We never went for Sunday drives...we didn't have a car. We went for walks at times, but mostly we played in our back or front yards.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Lee!!! One of our dreams is of having a log cabin like that to live in. Of course, aside from the indoor plumbing, it would have to also have high-speed internet access.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Lin!!! Well, if I don't let you have any, you and Ann will start fighting over her's, and if I do, there will be more to make a mess out of the backseat... So, it's another lose-lose situation for me... Okay, it's time for me to start drinking again!
