Sites To See #386

The SOLE purpose of this series is to help call attention to sites that I think many would find most interesting—in one way or another.  Just to be clear, inclusion in this series is not necessarily meant as an endorsement, and I have included sites that I found rather disturbing.  The link below each image is to the site itself, and each image is linked to the particular post from which it was taken when applicable.  Please, go see for yourself.  Oh, and as of August 10, 2012, I will be no longer including sites that have auto-play and word verification engaged.

  1. Did you see the Super Moon last night, now that I see the picture of a moon?

    1. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Shadow!!! No, we did not even try to see it. For we live in what I consider to be a fairly large city, and I think the street lights would have greatly diminished the effect. Several years ago, however, I did see what I now know to be a super moon, which I remember being much, much larger than what I hear described on newscasts. In all fairness, the incredibly great size may have had more to do with me not getting enough sleep while out on the truck than with the moon actually being that huge. For it actually scared me when I first saw it just over the horizon, with it almost completely filling the view from my windshield. I had just made it up onto I-10 after picking up a load of produce in Nogales, Arizona, and I actually thought it was crashing into Phoenix (around 50 miles to the east) until I realized that the moon was rising--not setting. Oh how I wish I had a picture of it.

I am sorry for failing to also include you in our Thinking of Christmas Gifts in July 2014 series, but you are now on the list to be included in my wife's November Nudges. Be assured that we will let you know when the time comes.

  5. I loved reading Watery Ways and experiencing canal life in the Netherlands. I've been there several times but have yet to make a canal trip. Today, thanks to you posting this blog, I came close.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Stephen!!! Although I am not necessarily a water/beach person, the thought of taking a Dutch canal trip sound most appealing to me. The advertised Viking River Cruises also sound like something I would love to go on someday, and if I was ever allowed and enabled to take a sea cruise, be assured that it would be one up to Alaska and back from somewhere around your neck of the woods.

    1. You are most welcome, and thanks for being so considerate, my dear Margie!!! It wasn't until our Heavenly Father started making Himself real to me (as opposed to just being a character in an ancient book) that I cam to realized just who had been speaking through my heart all of those years.
