No, it is not that I am in the midst of experiencing a
second or third childhood. For it is
arguable that I have never really grown up because of my march toward maturity
being interrupted along the way by some episodes of arrested development. So, instead of thinking that this series is
meant as a wistful look back upon a simpler time, think of it as being a rather
simplistic mind remaining in a moment for an extended period of time. In any event, I hope you find it enjoyable.

Do kids today even know what SNAFU stands for? I love these vintage cartoons. Sexist by today's standards but still funny.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Stephen!!! To be perfectly honest about it, I didn't know what the acronym really stood for until watching Memphis Belle again with my wife a couple of months ago. Yeah, she keeps insisting that I can be awfully slow at times. Sigh.
Deletenow don't I feel silly because although I knew the acronym for FUBAR I really didn't know what SNAFU stood for. I do now however.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Ann!!! Yeah, I knew what it meant, but just not what each letter actually stood for. This makes me a top recruit for military intelligence--right?
