A Sunday Drive

Back during my childhood, our parents would often load up my brother and me after Sunday morning church services for a leisurely drive around where we lived.  Even though we were seeing mostly familiar sights, it was still good to see them, and this is why “A Sunday Drive” sounded about right for the name of a weekly series revisiting familiar sites that are well worth seeing again and again.  The link below the image is to the site itself, and the image is linked to the post it was first included in here.

  1. My parents did the same thing growing up, followed by later, a longer yet Sunday afternoon drive, which as often as it could we would wander by a marina or lighthouse if possible. We did then as I do now always feel that urge to be by the water. Living in Michigan we could catch a fe Lighthouses, where as here, not so much. Split Rock is about it. I'll have to search My Amazing Animals again, blogger is working extremely slow this morning! Hope you have a wonderful end to the weekend!- Karen

  3. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Karen!!! I am fairly sure that I have seen a working lighthouse back when I was very young and dad had us living all over the country while he worked on natural gas pipeline projects, but I don't actually remember it, which is a shame. For I find them absolutely fascinating, and I regret not running across one during my trucking travels.

  13. Oh, crud. Did I miss the drive? Sigh. Next time, could you honk the horn for me? It makes my mother angry when you do that.

What's with all the dogs this week?
