Back during my childhood, our parents would often load
up my brother and me after Sunday morning church services for a leisurely drive
around where we lived. Even though we
were seeing mostly familiar sights, it was still good to see them, and this is
why “A Sunday Drive” sounded about right for the name of a weekly series
revisiting familiar sites that are well worth seeing again and again. The link below the image is to the site
itself, and the image is linked to the post it was first included in here.

My parents did the same thing growing up, followed by later, a longer yet Sunday afternoon drive, which as often as it could we would wander by a marina or lighthouse if possible. We did then as I do now always feel that urge to be by the water. Living in Michigan we could catch a fe Lighthouses, where as here, not so much. Split Rock is about it. I'll have to search My Amazing Animals again, blogger is working extremely slow this morning! Hope you have a wonderful end to the weekend!- Karen
ReplyDeleteThank you for including ME in this post. That was very much Kind of you. I see a couple of my furends here, too. (Fiona and Abby and Dennis)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by again, my dear Karen!!! I am fairly sure that I have seen a working lighthouse back when I was very young and dad had us living all over the country while he worked on natural gas pipeline projects, but I don't actually remember it, which is a shame. For I find them absolutely fascinating, and I regret not running across one during my trucking travels.
ReplyDeleteYou are most welcome, and thanks for being so considerate, my dear Frankie!!! Please tell Ernie that I did not mean to slight him.
ReplyDeleteI think I like the cartoons no one can understand - can you believe - I did understand that one! lol
ReplyDeleteHave a good day.
Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Sandie!!! Oh, but they do have some that certainly left me scratching my head.

You are most welcome, and thanks for being so considerate, my dear Ruthie!!! Yes. The "TMI?" near the top of sidebar gives a brief account of the direction it has gone.

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Eva!!! Has she been saying bad things about me again? (LOL?)
ReplyDeleteOh, crud. Did I miss the drive? Sigh. Next time, could you honk the horn for me? It makes my mother angry when you do that.
ReplyDeleteWhat's with all the dogs this week?
Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Lin!!! I was hoping to get a better review from Duke by having a lot of dogs (and NO CATS!) this time.
