The White Stripes vs. The Oak Ridge Boys

Seven Nation Army
The White Stripes
I’m gonna fight ‘em off
A seven nation army couldn’t hold me back
They’re gonna rip it off
Takin’ their time right behind my back
And I’m talkin’ to myself at night
Because I can’t forget
Back and forth through my mind
Behind a cigarette

And the message comin’ from eyes says
Leave it alone

Don’t wanna hear about it
Every single one’s got a story to tell
Everyone knows about it
From the Queen of England to the hounds of Hell
And if I catch it comin’ back my way
I’m gonna serve it you
And that ain’t what you want to hear
But that’s what I’ll do

And the feelin’ comin’ from my bones says
Find a home

I’m goin’ to Wichita
Far from this opera forevermore
I’m gonna work the straw
Make the sweat drip out of every pore
And I’m bleedin’
And I’m bleedin’
And I’m bleedin’
Right before the Lord
All the words are gonna bleed from me
And I will sing no more

And the stains comin’ from my blood tell me
Go back home

  4. White Stripes do it for me, I really enjoyed their sound and also the unique videos they released. I've always wondered about these two though, are they siblings (as I've been led to believe) or is there a romantic connection there?

  5. The Oak Ridge Boys could defeat the White Stripes simply through the sheer awesomeness of their facial hair!

  6. Not interested in these - the lyrics don't make any sense either.

  8. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Ryan!!! I am a big White Stripes fan as long as I shy away from seeing any interviews with Jack. For he is one really strange dude, and Meg was his wife. I'm not sure if their divorce happened before or after she made her sex tape, but I am fairly sure that it hastened the demise of "The White Stripes."
