Come Monday...Two and a Half Episodes

“Come Monday…” is a weekly series that will involve a review of, or commentary about,  websites, movies, documentaries, television shows, sports, music, and whatever else may tickle my fancy at the time.  Be assured that these reviews will be generally positive, as in accordance to the Jimmy Buffett song “Come Monday.”  This is subject to change, however.  In fact, I would be most derelict in my duties to neglect going on a rant every once in a while.  For rants promote change, and change can be good—right?  Therefore, since good is generally considered as being a positive force in 99.3% of the parallel universes that I am aware of, even a rant could be considered as being something positive, and a genuine hissy-fit would be even better (so I’m told).

I really did wet myself (just a little) the first time I saw the revised version of [Two and a Half Men] being referred to as being Two and a Half Episodes in a comment on [Don E. Chute].  I’m sorry, I don’t remember just who left it, nor on which particular article, and I am being too lazy to go find it.

Anyway, today is the day where we find if life without Charlie Harper is worth living on the set.  It is being [reported] that the new season will start off with his funeral, with Ashton Kutcher’s character being blended into the mix.

No, I do not believe that the revised show will be cancelled half-way through the third episode.  For there is way too much studio and network pride at stake for that to happen, and in consideration of the lunacy that seems to catch the most attention these days, the revised show may very well become an even bigger hit than the previous one was.

I will not be amongst the viewers, however.  For I still feel the same way about the show as I did [before].

On the other hand, my wife and her mother will be tuning in, which serves as a good example of how a house divided can fail to make an impact on the [Nielsen Ratings].  Will you be watching?

  1. Both my husband and I will be watching the revised show (and I really think I'll prefer this new new character to Charlie Harper) but the new season of H50 is what I'm really excited to see.

  2. The first season was funny then it went into the toilet - figuratively speaking. I don't think of myself as prudish (not with my personal history) but I found the sexual innuendo, well it wasn't so much innuendo as it was downright blatant and in bad taste and offensive. The show made me cringe!

(and now I'm wondering what H50 is...)

  4. Yay! Thanks for the reminder why I hate all television.

I did have the misfortune of seeing Ashton Kutcher in "The Butterfly Effect", which was a film just loaded with scenes that just made you want to vomit. The film makers should have included a packet of dramamine.

  5. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Oklahoma Granny!!! I have seen in the ads for the new H5O season that they have added another LOST cast member (Terry O'Quinn). I wonder if they found him wandering around the beach with a bewildered look on his face?

  6. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Grace!!! Well, it took me a lot longer to sour on the show. H5O stands for the new Hawaii Five-O, which I refuse to watch out of devotion to the original. (My loss, I know, Oklahoma Granny.)

  10. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Ryan!!! Well, after watching the first episode of the revised show, my wife and her mother don't think they will make it through another one and a half.
