Tommy James vs. Joan Jett

Crimson and Clover
Tommy James & The Shondells
Ah
Now I don’t hardly know her
But I think I could love her
Crimson and clover

Ah
Well if she comes walkin’ over
Now I’ve been waitin’ to show her
Crimson and clover
Over and over

Yeah
My mind’s such a sweet thing
I wanna do everything
What a beautiful feeling
Crimson and clover
Over and over

Crimson and clover
Over and over
Crimson and clover
Over and over
Crimson and clover
Over and over
Crimson and clover
Over and over
Crimson and clover
Over and over
Crimson and clover
Over and over

Crimson and Clover
Joan Jett & The Blackhearts
Now I don’t hardly know her
But I think I can love her
Crimson and clover

I
Now when she comes walkin’ over
Now I’ve been waitin’ to show her
Crimson and clover
Over and over

Yeah
I’m not such a sweet thing
I wanna do everythin’
What a beautiful feelin’
Crimson and clover
Over and over

Crimson and clover
Over and over
Crimson and clover
Over and over
Crimson and clover
Over and over
Crimson and clover
Over and over

  1. I remember seeing Joan Jett in concert when I was in high school - that was a really long time ago *grin*. Thanks for the virtual trip down memory lane ;o)

  2. I prefer the Tommy James and the Shondells version better. I remember Joan Jett and the Blackhearts' version. When it came out, I went "oh, another cover," it didn't "wow" me like others had at the time.

  3. Joan Jett, I think I'd vote for her singing Happy Birthday, she just rocks!

  4. I like Joan Jett but Tommy James wins this one. I very rarely ever like a remake of a song better than the original.

  6. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Jen!!! It blew my mind to recently find that she is a '58 model, which makes her less than a year younger than me. Whoa!

  7. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Coleen!!! I also like the original better, but not by much. For when she comes out of the instrumental break with, yeah, it hits me square between the eyes every time.
