A Sunday Drive

Back during my childhood, our parents would often load up my brother and me after Sunday morning church services for a leisurely drive around where we lived.  Even though we were seeing mostly familiar sights, it was still good to see them, and this is why “A Sunday Drive” sounded about right for the name of a weekly series revisiting familiar sites that are well worth seeing again and again.  The link below the image is to the site itself, and the image is linked to the post it was first included in here.

  1. Thank you for the Sunday drive. Ellie has quite the interesting blog, and Eric, well he's an artist that shakes my muse, and I'm joining him on twitter. Gee, I wonder what you'll be watching tonight? Just before you put any commercials together, I am saying right now, the puppy and horse for Bud is my all time favorite of like forever! Now if only they'd get rid of those Toyota Jan commercials, they run over and over the same old drag.

  2. Oh yes I do remember those Sunday drives. Always the family piled into the car and driving familiar roads that all led to an ice cream cone treat. Thank you for the memory and for linking my blog. Serene Sunday Bliss...

  4. Dang. Took me a long time to shovel the driveway so you could get the car out. You think we could stop for some hot chocolate on this drive? I'm freakin' freezing back here!

  5. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Lin!!! It would appear that you are not the only one who feels that way about Michael.

Oh, you know what we will be watching tonight. The tone of my Come Monday... tomorrow will be dictated by whether or not Peyton and the Broncos are victorious. Yeah, I will probably have something about the commercials, as well.

  6. You are most welcome, and thanks for being so considerate, my dear Creatology!!! Oh yeah, our parents often used the threat of not stopping for ice cream to help keep my little brother and I better behaved.

  8. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Lin!!! We only got enough to make the roads really fun to drive on this round. Of course, with my eyes getting so bad, I spend as much time on the sidewalk as not anymore. Sigh.

  10. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Sandie!!! Arlynda greatly discourages my creativity since it usually results in a huge mess. Sigh.
