No, it is not that I am in the midst of experiencing a
second or third childhood. For it is
arguable that I have never really grown up because of my march toward maturity
being interrupted by some episodes of arrested development along the way. So, instead of thinking that this series is
meant as a wistful look back upon a simpler time, think of it as being a rather
simplistic mind remaining in a moment for an extended period of time. In any event, I hope you find it enjoyable.

never really watched this one. stuck with bugs bunny a lot, though.
ReplyDeleteI was a true believer and follower of Johnny when I was a little girl, but not so much in today's cartoon world. My little grand-delights aren't really in to Johnny of today! But then again today there are so many options! I noticed again yesterday, that in the children's library they actually have sections, for book series of Dora, Bob the Builder, Spongebob, just to name a few. I bet when I was a child they didn't have book sections for Johnny Quest or any of the like then. Many libraries probably didn't even offer much in the line of children's sections like they do today.
ReplyDeleteNever seen Johnny Quest before, I don't think it can have made it over here, at least not at any time when I was watching cartoons. It looks like it has everything you could possibly want in a cartoon though :)
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of Johnny Quest before. I guess his quest never lead him down this way; that'd be my guess.
ReplyDeleteI remember watching this because my brother wanted to but I never liked it and it made me mad that he got to pick what we watched....lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear TWG!!! I was actually wanting to find the series from the 60s, but this one from the 80s was all there seemed to be on YouTube. That is, except for some excerpts of a minute or so in length.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Karen!!! A Johnny Quest book series would have indeed been an amazing thing back in the day. Hey, even if merely in comic book form would have been something to behold!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Jenny!!! I find that surprising. For the show seems to have a British feel to it, which is what I think made it so intriguing to me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Lee!!! I don't remember any of the particulars from episodes of the show, but since Johnny was a world-traveler with his dad and the rest of the bunch, surely their jet at least entered Australian airspace on several occasions.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Ann!!! I am quite sure that Duke is very disappointed to find that you were not a big fan of Bandit way back when. You had better go fry him up a slab of bacon before he becomes too distraught.
ReplyDeleteAh yes! My children watched that show. That takes me back.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Linda!!! I am really glad you enjoyed this little trip down Memory Lane.
ReplyDeleteI think Johnny Quest was more popular with the boys than the girls. Joe LOVES Johnny Quest...me? I can't remember ever watching him.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Lin!!! Methinks Joe would agree that watching Johnny Quest helped to prepare him for being married to you. (LOL?)
