Trib Updates

This is a weekly series that will include a brief summary of the latest articles that have been published on The Tribulation Times Herald-Exhorter.  Hopefully, this will encourage you to go check out some truly outstanding articles that have been published by a number of truly outstanding authors.  Moreover, I hope this will also encourage you to want to become a contributing member/author, as well.  The “Hear Ye!  Hear Ye!” site explanation near the top of the side-bar should answer many of your questions.  Yes, this series also included an “SOS! (Spam On Saturdays)”  segment before, but it just wasn’t working for me.  Therefore, that will be replaced by a republishing of one of the Trib articles.

[Gays in the military? Why not?] has RN auditioning for a position with FOX News again.

[Liza Minnelli – So Sorry I Said] is another song that RN finds reasonably enjoyable.

[Not What You May Think] has a song that I absolutely love, and not for the reason that you may think.

[The Gospel of Jesus Christ] is a well presented piece by RN, except for some “stuff” that gets in the way of what our Heavenly Father actually says is absolutely true.

[Pastors and Porn and ‘Mad Men’] contains some thoughts by RN.

From what I understand of Florida’s [Stand Your Ground] law, it allows someone to use deadly force whenever they feel threatened, regardless of where they are.  Being a self-confessed gun nut, whose neck has glowed (both literally and figuratively) with a particularly bright shade of red at times, I like it.  For I have always had a serious problem with having to wait until the bad guy is actually in my house before I can take measures to protect my family and our property, and woe be it unto me if they were to get back outside before expiring.

No, that doesn’t sound like a very “Christian” attitude, but it’s the truth.  For as I have been quite forthcoming about on many an occasion, our Heavenly Father has left far too much of “me” intact for my comfort.

On the other hand, He has made it abundantly clear unto me that there are times when turn the other cheek doesn’t apply, and if we will listen, He will tell us when those times are.  In other words, none of us has to depend upon our own understanding of His Holy Scriptures, nor the teaching of others not so unlike ourselves, to know what to do.

Oh, but after the senseless slaying of [Trayvon Martin], some adjustments to the Florida law is most definitely needed.  For regular people should be held to at least close to the same standard as police officers in determining whether the use (or attempted use) of deadly force was warranted—especially when an incident happened on neutral ground.

Alas, I really hate it when some idiot ruins a good thing for the rest of us.  For the murder (yeah, I said it) of Trayvon has the lily-livered liberals screaming about rednecks wanting a return to frontier justice, which will undoubtedly lead to another big push to take away our right to bear arms.  It’s a good thing it’s an election year (naturally-speaking, of course).

  1. You have brought up the wrong subject for me. I am a gun owner, gun lover and gun user and will fight to the death for my right to own and use one when I am threatened. Has nothing to do with the color of my neck but a fed up attitude about people who think they can waltz in anywhere and take what they want if it's not tied down. Locks only keep out honest people. Guns can stop those who are not. I worked hard to gain my property, I should be allowed to protect it.

I know that is a strong opinion but last time I checked, America still allows free speech, although it must be politically correct, it is somewhat still allowed. I can assure you, prejudice will play no roll in protectin my family and self. My gun is an equal opportunity weapon.

I am sick of our rights stated in the constitution being drained away by idiots who fooled the people enough to place them in a power posititon.

Please remember the statement of Thomas Jefferson about being armed...and don't give up your guns!!!

  2. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Ann!!! A question that Arlynda raised later on was wondering if Florida's Stand Your Ground law allowed for drug dealers to legally protect their turf?

  5. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Lin!!! I am sorry for being really late today. I have been working on finishing the latest book. It does give me some comfort to know that your family is used to you being crabby. For I would hate to make it worse on them.
