TWO FOR TUESDAY

Not every song that will be featured here will be what is generally considered as being “Christian” in the eyes of this world. For some will be anguished cries from the pit of despair, and others will be quite obviously ferverent rants of rebellion. Nonetheless, be assured that they will all be of our Heavenly Father (in one way or another) and I hope that you have been given ears to hear the message.

Drive
The Cars
Who’s gonna tell you when
It’s too late
Who’s gonna tell you things
Aren’t so great

You can’t go on
Thinkin’
Nothing’s wrong
What now
Who’s gonna drive you home
Tonight

Who’s gonna pick you up
When you fall
Who’s gonna hang it up
When you call
Who’s gonna pay attention
To your dreams
Who’s gonna plug their ears
When you scream

You can’t go on
Thinkin’
Nothing’s wrong
What now
Who’s gonna drive you home
Tonight

Who’s gonna hold you down
When you shake
Who’s gonna come around
When you break

Oh oh
You can’t go on
Thinkin’
Nothing’s wrong
Who’s gonna drive you home
Tonight

Hello Again
The Cars
Hello
Hello again

Hello
Hello again

You might have forgot
The journey ends
You tied your knots
You made your friends
You left the scene
Without a trace
One hand on the ground
One hand in space

Oh you passed on mercy
You tried the rest
You gave your body
You gave your best
Staring at the green door
Living in the sky
You don’t want to know it
You just want to fly

Hello
Hello
Hello again
Ought oh
Ooh ooh yeah
Hello
Hello
Hello again

Hello

I know you’re a dreamer
Who’s under the gun
I know you’re a dreamer
Who’s only just begun

Hello
Hello
Hello again
I say
Hello
Hello
Hello again

Oh when there’s nothing
Nothing left to lose
You leave it all
To fade to blue

You want to feel electric
You want to feel loose
You want to be eclectic
You want to call a truce
Look at the profile
Staring at the flame
Waiting for the sunshine
Standing in the rain

Hello
Ought oh
Hello again
I said
Hello
Hello
Hello
Hello
Hello again
I say
Hello
Hello
Hello
Hello again
Hello
Ought oh
Hello again

Hello

Hello
Hello

Hello

Hello

  1. Hi FishHawk , i pause to comment on this band very much in vogue in Even in Italy, in those years (80s), the music was influenced by British and American groups, so I still remember something;)
The group of Ric Ocasek, has written another wonderful song from that album that is Heartbeat City, you will find here, in one of my post. Good day, David.

  5. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Mike!!! "Drive" is one of my all-time favorites in a very bittersweet sort of way. For I have had a few relationships where it all applied.

  6. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Ann!!! Alas, he hates "Broken Wings" and "Kyrie" by Mr. Mister, but he loves The Cars... Is Duke as concerned as I am?
