TWO FOR TUESDAY

Not every song that will be featured here will be what is generally considered as being “Christian” in the eyes of this world. For some will be anguished cries from the pit of despair, and others will be quite obviously ferverent rants of rebellion. Nonetheless, be assured that they will all be of our Heavenly Father (in one way or another) and I hope that you have been given ears to hear the message.

Every Breath You Take
The Police
Every breath you take
Every move you make
Every bond you break
Every step you take
I’ll be watching you
Every single day
Every word you say
Every game you play
Every night you stay
I’ll be watching you
Oh can’t you see
You belong to me
How my poor heart aches
With every step you take
Every move you make
Every vow you break
Every smile you fake
Every claim you stake
I’ll be watching you

Since you’ve been gone
I’ve been lost without a trace
I dream at night
I can only see your face
I look around
But it’s you I can’t replace
I feel so cold
And I long for your embrace
I keep calling
Baby
Baby
Please

Oh can’t you see
You belong to me
How my poor heart aches
With every step you take
Every move you make
Every vow you break
Every smile you fake
Every claim you stake
I’ll be watching you
Every move you make
Every step you take
I’ll be watching you

I’ll be watching you

Every breath you take
Every move you make
Every bond you break
Every step you take
I’ll be watching you
Every single day
Every word you say
Every game you play
Every night you stay
I’ll be watching you
Every move you make
Every vow you break
Every smile you fake
Every claim you stake
I’ll be watching you
Every single day
Every word you say
Every game you play
Every night you stay
I’ll be watching you
Every breath you take
Every move you make
Every bond you break
Every step you take
I’ll be watching you
Every single day
Every word you say
Every game you play
Every night you stay
I’ll be watching you

Message In A Bottle
The Police
Just a castaway
And island lost at sea oh
Another lonely day
No one here but me oh
More loneliness
Than any man could bear
Rescue me before
I fall into despair oh

I’ll send an SOS to the world
I’ll send an SOS to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle yeah
Message in a bottle yeah

A year has passed since I wrote my note
But I should have known this right from the start
Only hope can keep me together
Love can mend your life
But love can break your heart

I’ll send an SOS to the world
I’ll send an SOS to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle yeah
Message in a bottle yeah

Walked out this morning
Don’t believe what I saw
A hundred billion bottles
Washed up on the shore
Seems I’m not alone in being alone
A hundred billion castaways
Looking for a home

I’ll send an SOS to the world
I’ll send an SOS to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle yeah
Message in a bottle yeah
Message in a bottle whoa
Message in a bottle yeah

Sending out an SOS
Sending out an SOS
Sending out an SOS
Sending out an SOS
Sending out an SOS
Sending out an SOS
Sending out an SOS
Sending out an SOS
Sending out an SOS
Sending out an SOS
Sending out an SOS
Sending out an SOS
Sending out an SOS
Sending out an SOS
Sending out an SOS
Sending out an SOS

  1. You don't realize how simply written these songs are until you actually see the lyrics. I'm sure The Police recently reformed and are touring again....or did I dream that.

  4. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Ryan!!! To be quite honest about it, I have never been a big fan of The Police. That is, except for "Roxanne," which will be up this Thursday, but these two songs had a huge impact upon me during the time when our Heavenly Father first started making Himself real to me.

As in regards to them getting back together for a tour, there is nothing about on their website. Sting is still doing his solo thing, however.

Speaking of the boy, did you catch him in "Dune?" I'm talking about the 1984 movie, with Kyle MacLachlan as Paul Atreides--not "Frank Herbert's Dune," which is a three-part miniseries that came out in 2000 and is not nearly as good to me.

  5. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Sandie!!! Now, try to imagine our Heavenly Father singing that to us.

  8. Haven't heard either of those in a long time. I like the first one better than the second one though

  11. Gosh, no. We are together 24/7 and sometimes I wish he would go away for awhile. I encourage him to go on vacation - a LOT. I don't care where he goes just as long as he comes back safely.

  12. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Grace!!! Yeah, my wife was the same way with me for quite a while, but I have grown on her, which may explain why she is now obsessed with anti-fungal agents.

  13. How did I miss this???! Criminy. See what I miss when I'm busy with life off the computer. sigh.

I love Sting and The Police!!! They are still my all-time fav band. We saw them in a reunion concert 2 years ago and they were still on top of their game. It was hilarious to see all the kids there who were lost when they sang the songs that weren't overplayed on the radio. I sang along with every song--much to their chagrin.

    :)

  14. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Lin!!! Believe or not, I had you in mind when putting this together, and I hope your husband benefits from it.
