Close My Eyes Forever
Lita Ford & Ozzy Osbourne
Baby
I get so scared inside
And I don’t really understand
Is it love that’s on my mind
Or is it fantasy
Heaven
Is in the palm of my hand
And it’s waiting here for you
What am I supposed to do
With a childhood tragedy
If I close my eyes forever
Will it all remain unchanged
If I close my eyes forever
Will it all remain the same
Sometimes
It’s hard to hold on
So hard to hold onto my dreams
It isn’t always what it seems
When you’re face to face with me
You’re like a dagger
And stick me in the heart
And taste the blood from my blade
And when we sleep
Would you shelter me
In your warm and darkened grave
If I close my eyes forever
Will it all remain unchanged
If I close my eyes forever
Will it all remain the same
Will you ever take me
No I just can’t take the pain
Would you ever trust me
No I’ll never feel the same
Oh
I know I’ve been so hard on you
I know I’ve told you lies
If I could have just one more wish
I’d wipe the cobwebs from my eyes
If I close my eyes forever
Will it all remain unchanged
If I close my eyes forever
Will it all remain the same
Oh yeah
Close your eyes
Close your eyes
You gotta
Close your eyes
For me

All they have to do is ask and I'll close their eyes for them....
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by again, my dear Adullamite!!! Yes, I am sure both of them have you on their speed-dial, but it is just not quite time yet.
ReplyDeleteForgiveness is my initial thought. Closing our eyes in hopes of keeping things as they were is easier than forgiving.
ReplyDeleteI wish I would have just listened and not watched the video. Hearing Ozzy is one thing but having to look at him is another. He's one freaky looking guy if you ask me.
ReplyDeleteI do like this song though
Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Frank!!! Whoa, that is certainly a very "frank" way of looking at it. One of things should make it easier for us to forgive others is accepting that our Heavenly Father truly is in FULL control over ALL that happens. Of course, that doesn't absolve anyone from their own wrongdoing, but since it is possible that it may not really be their fault, we should be willing to give them the benefit of our doubts until He tells us otherwise. For mercy triumphs over judgement {James 2:12-13}.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by again, my dear Ann!!! Would a different shade of eye-liner help?
ReplyDeleteCan't say I think much of old Ozzie! sandie
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by again, my dear Sandie!!! He is a little much for many.
ReplyDeleteThe guy is a legend, how he has survived this long is beyond me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by again, my dear Ryan!!! Methinks it has much to do with ingesting lots of very strong preservatives (naturally-speaking, of course).
