Well, the lovely Ms. Grace of [Hugz Before You Go] fame and fortune kinda, shorta, maybe stole some of my thunder with [this post] last week. For it covers basically the same line as I wanted to follow, but since the contents of this piece has been percolating in my head for around a month now, I hated to let it go to waste. After all, small children in third-world countries have been starving for knowledge for decades now.
Anyway, I am wondering if anyone knows if there is some sort of a list of comments out there that has been compiled for the benefit of those who maybe do not have English as a first language. For I have read some posts written by idiots who portray themselves as blogging experts that encourage their readers to just copy what others are doing in order to match their success, and since most of the comments that I am speaking about here make no sense at all in relation to the content of the posts that they are posted on, it makes me wonder if they have been taken from some sort of a list.
Take this comment for an example: You have really great taste on catch article titles, even when you are not interested in this topic you push to read it. Now, this certainly looks like a very nice comment to receive, but it was left on one of my TWO FOR TUESDAY {Redo} posts!
Below are some more examples, which I am sure many are all too familiar with. For I have seen them posted all over the place by Anonymous (of course).

Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now. Keep it up! And according to this article, I totally agree with your opinion, but only this time! :) Posted on [this piece].

Genial dispatch and this fill someone in on helped me alot in my college assignement. Gratefulness you as your information. Posted on [this piece].
Yes, some of them sound just fine—especially the ones that sound like they are looking for some further interaction, but THEY ARE BEING POSTED BY ANONYMOUS! Therefore, THERE IS NO WAY TO REALLY FURTHER INTERACT WITH THEM! Okay, I suppose one could post a specific response, but if they were really serious about wanting to further interact, wouldn’t they at least say who they are in the text of the comment?
No, I really don’t understand. Could someone please put me out of my misery?

Good fill someone in on and this post helped me alot in my college assignement. Thank you as your information.
ReplyDeleteNow that's funny! Thanks for stopping by (again?), my dear Anonymous!!! (Just don't be leaving anymore comments like that--okay?)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that your first comment here is from anonymous. that is just too funny. I've gotten quite a few of those lately and I do find them really annoying. Obviously they don't read the post and just what exactly do they gain by commenting as anonymous?
ReplyDeleteI used to get these all the time and then someone who is way more computer savvy than I informed me they are spam comments and often contain backlinks of which we are not aware. I went through my blog and removed them and now I block anonymous comments. You can do a google search on it to find out more.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny. I mean really the college thing right off the bat. I too have been getting them and deleting them. At least I think I've gotten the bulk of them. Right you are, since they are anonymous there can be no further interaction, and since they're anonymous there is no linking going on....so really what is the point?
ReplyDeleteMy most disturbing one though has been getting this sort of trash when I was posting about my Mother dying, obviously they didn't even read the title, let alone the actual post.
Happy Monday, alot in my college thank you
more caffeine please
Just read Mountain woman's post, yes you can block anonymous, but when you do then you prevent lots of worthwhile comments from those who blog elsewhere and leave their url and or those like myself with multiple blogs where it's preferable to leave the name and url rather than go to someone's profile page and guess which blog to go to.
ReplyDeleteWould be nice if those two options weren't together on blogger. If and when that happens, I'll opt to block anonymous.
Sandy
Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Ann!!! I am pretty sure that "Anonymous" comment came from one of my more deviant friends. Nonetheless, it was still a really good one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by again, my dear Sara!!! Thank you also for the information. I will certainly try to find out more. A few weeks ago, I posted an article on the Anonymous comments that contain a series of dots, which is actually a link to usually a Chinese porn site or two, but I have no idea how those in this piece can contain a backlink.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by again, my dear Sandy!!! I feel the same way about blocking anonymous comments. For I can understand why some might want to remain anonymous if they wanted to debate some doctrinal point and would not do so if they had to identify themselves, but I sure hate it when the nefarious want to take advantage.
ReplyDeleteI love to visit your blog... All the posts are interesting... It's really a pleasure to be here in your site.
ReplyDeleteWould you like to exchange link with my two PR 3 blogs?
manilyntingcang.com
lingzspot.blogspot.com
If you want, just add me and comment on my latest post in my blog.I'll definitely add your site.
I'm looking forward for your reply. Thank you very much.
First off, Good Morning! Second, thanks for the mention. Third, I write off the top of my head so my posts rarely include any research, which yours does, making it far more informative. Me, I just rant, rave and ramble.
ReplyDeleteLove the comment from LinGZ - that's a goof right?
Had to come back and share this with you. This comment is stretching the college thing even farther.
ReplyDeleteI've just deleted it. Now, what I wonder is this since one of my blogs Bridge and Beyond talks alot about hats, mittens, scarves for the the homeless...is there a connection? The cut and paste here was not on that blog however, but on my personal page, Sandy's Space??
Sandy
Understandably your article helped me very much in my college assignment. Hats incorrect to you enter, choice look audacious in behalf of more cognate articles promptly as its one of my choice subject-matter to read.
I get alot of this. They are spam comments, meant to direct you to their website. You can tell they are spam because the to not refer to anything relevant in the post they are posted in AND if you check the website attached to the comment, more often then not, it will be for some rinky dink company trying to promote their merchandise. I delete them and never post them, if you do, you will notice a lot more of it! :)
ReplyDeleteI should export my spam-database and publish it, today I have 14527 spam-comments and counting. I receive about 900 each month.
ReplyDeleteThe last couple of days I've received comments like:
Comments on my "longing for spring"-post:
"What a nice thinking. I am worried about snow. So now the season have changed which is seem so pleasant."
Comments on my post about loosing a school (it burned down):
"Do you know that it is high time to get the personal loans, which can make your dreams come true."
I shouldn't joke too much about speaking English though, mine is a bit rusty..
Thanks for stopping by again, my dear LinGZ!!! Maybe later on the links. By the way, such requests are better left privately. For it comes off as being too aggressive when made publicly.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by again, my dear Grace!!! Be assured that flattery is very much appreciated here, and I don't understand why I don't get more of it!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, LinGZ comment was no goof. For I saw a very similar one left somewhere else, but I am sure she has the best of intentions.
Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Sandy!!! Yes, that is a perfect example of the kind of comment that we are talking about here. How is it possible for someone who would leave a comment like that to even be able to leave one in the first-place?
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by again, my dear Lilysgramma!!! Yes, I have received (and seen on other sites) many comments that are obviously meant to get you to go somewhere else. For if a link is not included in the text of the comment, the name used to post it is really meant as a link, but the kinds of comments that I am talking about here do not have any links that I am aware of. So, what purpose do they really serve?
ReplyDeleteI have had a thought or two about them maybe being like a test comment to see if the owner of the blog would allow an anonymous comment to remain up. Then, after a certain amount of time, they would post a comment with a link included, but that still doesn't make any sense to me. For they would be two different kinds of comments--with one maybe being acceptable and the other not.
Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Oyvind!!! Alas, English really is an extremely difficult language to master--especially American English. For it has so many words that mean different things in different contexts. Hey, I've been speaking and writing it for around 50 years now, and I still ain't no good in a grammatical sense!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by again, my dear Glenn!!! As I told the lovely Ms. Grace earlier, flattery is very much appreciated here. Wanna make out?
ReplyDeleteJust in case you didn't see it before I deleted it, the comment that was left right after Glenn's (Man Over Board) was one of those comments with the series of dots at the end, which was a link to a Chinese porn site.
ReplyDeleteNow, if you think that I am being racist by only mentioning Chinese porn sites, please understand that they are the only ones that I have seen linked to by these kind of comments so far. Be assured that I have no doubt that good ol' American porn sites will start following suite soon enough.
Relative to the second comment you left on "Sunday Serenade" - you're cool with me. Voicing an appreciation of beauty is hardly crass...
ReplyDeleteWell, it was actually the part about me saying that I probably needed to drop some acid before I could more fully appreciate that song that I am sorry about saying. Thanks for giving me a pass, and for stopping by again, my dear Grace!!!
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteVery nice and intrestingss story.
Thanks for stopping by, my dear Anonymous.
ReplyDeleteI hope you understand that I am bending over backwards to give you the benefit of the doubt on this one, my dear Order Lasix. Please don't take advantage of it.
ReplyDeleteI really liked your article.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the encouragement, my dear Anonymous!!!
ReplyDeleteI truly treasure your piece of function, Fantastic post. CHECK ME OUT BY CLICKING MY NAME:0)!!!
Yep, oh nameless anonymous, that certainly applies as an inane comment!
