WhiteHeart

Television subdivision
Sees it on his advent screen
The cables on, the tape is running
So he won’t miss a thing
I asked him if he knew Jesus
He said, “What channel is He on?”

While he sees the latest feature
A bible sits collecting dust
TV Guide and program listing
Is the only place he puts his trust
Who says a wealth of information
Has to be filmed on location

Read the book
Don’t wait for the movie
Read the book
Don’t wait for the movie

All the lines keep getting longer
To see the latest horror show
Degeneration of a generation
Tell me where did the Bible go?
I asked them if they knew Jesus
“Is He in a theatre near you?”
I said, “No, He’s the Messiah.”
“Do you think He’ll get good reviews?”

The management of this theatre requests that you take a moment to familiarize yourself with the emergency exists located at either the right, or the left, of your life.

Hollywood says the movie’s better
Special effects are the thing
But the miracles of the Father
They can never put on screen

  1. This is absolutely wonderful, Sir FishHawk. I'm not familiar with the group's music, but I love these lyrics -- especially for a writer! Thanks so much for sharing them.

  2. Thanks, my dear Sir Geoff. It's definitely a catchy tune, and the imagery of their lyrics does tell quite a story.

By the way, does Lady Eleanor dance much? That would be required in order to collect moondust--wouldn't it? I imagine she can really cut-a-rug when she gets going!!!

  3. Eleanor certainly can dart around. She can do anything she puts her mind to, yes, so also yes to the dancing, and especially when it means collecting the moondust.

"Whatever it takes," Eleanor says, smiling. (a sly smile at that)
