  1. You're not turning Republican on me, Jerry, are you? I could have sworn you were my brother Libertarian. I'll defend you one way or the other. Have a great weekend and peace and joy...Dale

  4. Well, my dear Mad Celt, I don't really know what to call myself. Officially, I am still a registered Republican, but an Independent would probably be the best way to describe myself in a political sense now. For I'm not quite ready to fully embrace the darkside by becoming a Democrat, and there is much about Libertarianism that I find rather hard to swallow. Would I be crazy to write-in Colin Powell as President?

  7. "Dear Sir FishHawk," Eleanor says. "Thank you for stopping by 'This Side of Paradise,' and for your concern about my Biographer. Please rest assured that I am well inside his thoughts, and keeping him on the straight and narrow -- toward the completion of my story. We will return in about a week. The wilderness turns out to be even wilder than we imagined! Stories to come. In the meantime, look for the Full Moon next week, and both my Biographer and I wish you plenty of good thoughts, as well as good tidings."

  8. Jerry...vote your conscience. We're all a bit crazy, to answer your question. I don't care who you vote for...it is the action of voting that I care about. Voting is the most important part of Liberty. This is a great country still, despite the egregious mistakes of the last fifty years. This American animal we call Democracy will not easily lie down and die. I'm glad these two Presidential candidate clowns are doing what they're doing...it's orchestrated, it pisses people off, it wakes up the American consciousness. As a whole, the citizens of this Republic are not fools...quite daft at times, but let someone provoke us one time too many, and THEN watch.

  9. I am sure glad that you are looking after the boy, my dear Lady Eleanor. For there is no telling where he might go next.

Would you mind me asking you a question? Please forgive my ignorance, but is moondust more plentiful during the full moon phase?

Sorry about that. I just counted, and that was actually 2 questions.

  10. One would think that the powers that be amongst the Republicans and Democrats would have learned what was taught the Imperial Japanese a few years back, my dear Mad Celt. For a sleeping giant can be rather cranky when jolted awake.

  11. Eleanor says: "When the moon is full, the moondust looks like somebody's holding up a sparkler on the Fourth of July. You might have to squint your eyes a bit to see, but it's there, if you Believe."

Since the Blogger spam filter has been found sorely lacking lately, I will start moderating comments. Be assured that I am only interested in deleting spam. So, if you feel a need to take me to task over something—even anonymously, go ahead and let 'er rip, and I will publish it as soon as I can.
