A Sunday Drive

Back during our childhood, our parents would often load up my brother and me after Sunday morning church services for a leisurely drive around where we lived.  Even though we were seeing mostly familiar sights, it was still good to see them again, and this is why “A Sunday Drive” sounded about right for the name of a series revisiting familiar sites that are well worth seeing again and again.  The link below the image is to the site itself, and the image is linked to the post it was first included in here.

    1. You are most welcome, and thanks for being so considerate, my dear Aunt Snow!!! Please don't worry about Hawk. For I have it on good authority that he is very disciplined about only going after waterfowl. (LOL?)

  4. Well, this was a very nice fall drive. I do love the changing colors and the stop for apple cider. I am very sorry about us driving all over the wooly worms crossing the road, though.

  8. I'm a little late gettin' back here 'cause I got caught up in readin' yer story - very interesting readin' up on yer family history and all.

And well I remember the Sunday drive with us 4 boys in the car (an old '48 Chev which couldn't quite make it up all the hills in our neck of the woods, so my mother would get out at the bottom and walk up - she didn't trust my father to roll it down backwards from 3/4 of the way up to try again). And we carried on the tradition with our kids till they were old enough to forgo 'the thrill'.

Great stories, Jerry, and great links.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Rick!!! You mean to tell me that your wife would get out of the car so that she could walk back down the hill? Whoa, that is some serious dedication to tradition! (LOL?)

By the way, I have added your wonderful All Nature Sings site to the list to be included in a Sites To See edition, which comes before being included in this series. Be assured that I will let you know when it is actually included, which will be awhile because of how many were already on the list.

    2. Ha ha - re-read my post; no way my wife would get into a '48 Chev!

Appreciate the (upcoming) shout-out Jerry. You're a very dedicated blogger. I get around to site when time allows.

      God bless!
