A Sunday Drive

Back during our childhood, our parents would often load up my brother and me after Sunday morning church services for a leisurely drive around where we lived.  Even though we were seeing mostly familiar sights, it was still good to see them again, and this is why “A Sunday Drive” sounded about right for the name of a series revisiting familiar sites that are well worth seeing again and again.  The link below the image is to the site itself, and the image is linked to the post it was first included in here.

  1. Please remove my photo and all reference to my blog aheronsview.blogspot from your blog for I consider your action to be an incursion into my civil liberties, you needed to ask for my permission.

    1. Well, my dear Mr. Lloyd, you never mentioned that you considered my previous actions to be an incursion into your civil liberties in the many exchanges we have had over the last six months or so. Have you represented Sinn Fein with the same sense of honor as you have displayed here? Anyway, I have removed the inclusion of your site on both this edition of the A Sunday Drive series and where it was first included in the Sites To See edition for March 7, 2014.

    2. WOW, imagine that on a public forum....

    3. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Jack69!!! Mel Lloyd is (or at least was) a high-level official of Sinn Fein, which is the political arm of the Irish Republican Army (IRA). Although, it is claimed that Sinn Fein has nothing to do with the IRA, and Mr. Lloyd has strongly insisted that he has never been a member of the IRA, nor supports their violent efforts to drive the British out of Ireland. Quite sadly, I am having even more trouble with accepting that after the stunt he tried to pull here. Alas, all he had to do was tell me to remove the links without making it sound like I was doing something sneaky and obviously wrong.

  2. The first picture up there reminded me of the two chocolate labs that I used to have years ago.

    1. They are actually Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. They were young in that picture (1 year and 6 months) so not fully mature, but you can see a hint of their wavy coats. :)

  3. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Ann!!! Methinks a chocolate lab would make a fine addition to Wade's man-cave!

    2. Hi Jerry! I'm sorry if you became disappointed. I was unable to blog for a while because of some time conflicts but hopefully I'm back in full force now. I hope that you will give me another chance to be included on "your Sunday Drive". God Bless, PJ

    1. You are most welcome, and thanks for being so considerate, my dear Jack69!!! Oh, but a sail around the south Pacific must have its moments. That is, as long as no one is shooting at you, of course.

  7. Thanks for including my 365 days blog here. I'm honored to be mentioned (and certainly don't feel it's an affront to my civil liberties). :) I'll have to check out your other mentions.

    1. You are most welcome, and thanks for being so considerate, my dear Mari!!! Alas, I must admit that Mr. Lloyd's comment really made me mad. For if he now no longer wants anything more to do with me or this site because of me being a Christian and him, an enthusiastic atheist, all he had to do was tell me to take the link down. Whereas, he chose to make it sound like I was doing something sneaky and obviously wrong.

  9. thanks for featuring me on your blog.......maybe you could choose a better photo next time??? Hoping all is well in your world

Ps......about that photo you took off a blog......are people really that sensitive about such things? Maybe they should make their blogs PRIVATE or STOP blogging altogether???? Seems rather silly to me to complain about you posting their picture up on your blog; after all, most blogs are PUBLIC FORUMS are they not??? Bit like whinging that somebody is using your photos off facebook etc they are public property........my advise.......DON'T post them if you don't want them used or seen

    1. You are most welcome, and thanks for being so considerate, my dear Kathie!!! I am sorry for not picking an image more to your approval. I considered it to be rather creative for a kitty.

In regards to some being quite sensitive about their images, there are actually quite a few, and I try to take notice of those who have it clearly posted that they do not want their material copied for any reason. I also link each image to where it was taken so that no one in their right-mind might think that I am stealing them for my own personal gain. The exception to the linking policy comes to play in this series, which features sites that have been already included in a Sites To See edition, which is where the images are linked to. In the Sites To See series, all images are linked to the post I first saw them on (when applicable). In any event, the images are at least linked to the home page of the site they are representing.

Whoa, all of that sounds An awfully lot like a legal disclaimer... Hey, I SHOULD BE GETTING PAID A LOT MORE!!!!!!!!!!!
