TFT: War

Link: [War]

Not every song that will be featured here will be what is generally considered as being “Christian” in the eyes of this world.  For some will be anguished cries from the pit of despair while others will be quite obviously fervent rants of rebellion.  Nonetheless, be assured that they will all be of our Heavenly Father (in one way or another) and I hope that you have been given ears to hear the message.

The Cisco Kid
War
The Cisco Kid
Was a friend of mine
The Cisco Kid
Was a friend of mine

He drink whiskey
Poncho drink the wine
He drink whiskey
Poncho drink the wine
We met down on
The fort of Rio Grande
We met down on
The fort of Rio Grande
Eat the salted peanuts
Out of can
Eat the salted peanuts
Out the can
The outlaws had us pinned down
At the fort
The outlaws had us pinned down
At the fort
Cisco came in blastin'
Drinkin' port
Cisco came in blastin'
Drinkin' port

They rode the sunset
Horse was made of steel
They rode the sunset
Horse was made of steel
Chased a gringo
Last night through a field
Chased a gringo
Last night through a field

The Cisco Kid
Was a friend of mine
The Cisco Kid
He was a friend of mine
The Cisco Kid
Was a friend of mine
The Cisco Kid
Was a friend of mine

The Cisco Kid
Was a friend of mine
The Cisco Kid
He was a friend of mine
The Cisco Kid
Was a friend of mine
The Cisco Kid
Was a friend of mine

The Cisco Kid
He was a friend of mine
The Cisco Kid
He was a friend of mine
The Cisco Kid
He was a friend of mine

Why Can’t We Be Friends
War
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

I ain’t seen you around
For a long long time
Yeah
I remembered you
When you’d drink my wine

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

I've seen you walking
Down in Chinatown
I called you
but you could not look around

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

I pay my money
To the welfare line
I’ve see you standing
In it every time

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

The color of your skin
Don't matter to me
Wow
As long as we
Can live in harmony

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

I'd kinda like to be
The President
Yeah
So I can show you
How your money's spent
Oh

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

Sometimes I don't
Speak bright
All right
But yet I know
What I'm talking about

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

I know you're working
For the C.I.A.
They wouldn't have you
In the mafia

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

  3. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Ann!!! Well, that's just sad. For "Why Can't We Be Friends" is the song that Duke hums every time he goes to bed with his tummy growling from lack of bacon.

  4. Thanks for stopping by, my dear JP!!! Hey, I burnt off quite a few calories trying to dance to "The Cisco Kid" back in the day! Since I have never been much of a dancer, it was always some work-out. Sigh.
