This weekly series
will include as many of my all-time favorite tunes as I can get my grubby
little hands on (so to speak). Now, each
one included in each edition will have some connection with the other—albeit
only as a figment of my imagination, but they will not be numbered. For I just cannot bring myself to rate some
higher than others. So, this will not be
a countdown, but if you are enjoying them as much as I do, it won’t
matter. Besides, with no countdown, this
could go on forever and ever! Oh, and
despite the fact that there is absolutely no way that your musical tastes can
be as exquisite as mine, I welcome any suggestions that you might dare to
make. I am, after all, quite magnanimous
by nature.

Somebody To Love
Queen
Can
Anybody
Find me
Somebody
To
Love
Ooooooh
Ooooooh
Each morning I get
up I die a little
Can’t barely stand
on my feet
Take a look in the
mirror and cry
Take a look at
yourself
In the mirror
And cry
Yeah yeah
Lord what You’re
doing to me
I have all my years
in believing You
Oooh oooh
Believing You
But I just can’t
get no relief Lord
I just can’t get no
relief Lord
Somebody
Somebody
Ooh somebody
Somebody
Can anybody find me
Somebody to love
Yeah
I work
He works hard
Every day of my
life
I work ‘til I ache
in my bones
At the end
At the end of the
day
I take home
My hard-earned pay
All on my own
Goes home
Goes home on his
own
I get down
Down
On my knees
Knees
And I start to pray
Praise the Lord
“Til the tears run
down from my eyes Lord
Ooh
Ooh
Ooh Lord
Somebody
Somebody
Ooh somebody
Please
Can anybody find me
Can anybody find me
Somebody to love
He works hard
Everyday
Everyday
And I try
And I try
And I try
I try
And I try
And I try
But everybody wants
to put me down
Oooooh
They say I’m goin’
crazy
Oooooh
They say I got a
lot of water in my brain
Aaaah
I got no common
sense
I got nobody left
to believe
He’s got nobody
left to believe
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
Oh Lord
Oh somebody
Ooh somebody
Anybody find me
Anybody find me
Somebody to love
Can
Anybody
Find me
Someone to love
Got no feel
I got no rhythm
I just keep losing
my beat
You just keep
losing
And losing
I’m okay
I’m all right
He’s all right
He’s all right
I ain’t gonna face
no defeat
Yeah yeah
I just gotta get
out of this prison cell
Oh oh
This prison cell
Someday I’m gonna
be free Lord
One day I’m gonna be
free Lord
Find me somebody to
love
Find me somebody to
love
Oh oh oh ooh
Find me somebody to
love
Find me somebody to
love
Find me
Find me
Find me
Find me somebody to
love
Find me somebody to
love
Find me somebody to
love
Oh find me somebody
to love
Find me somebody to
love
Find me somebody to
love
Ooo ooo ooo ooo
oooh
Find me somebody to
love
Somebody
Somebody
Somebody
Somebody
Somebody
Find me somebody
Find me somebody to
love
Can anybody find me
Somebody to
Love
Find me
Somebody
To
Love
Ooooooh
Find me
Somebody
To
Love
Find me somebody
Somebody
Somebody
Somebody to love
Find me
Somebody
To
Love
Find me
Find me
Find me
Find me
Find me
Oooooh
Find me
Somebody
To
Love
Somebody to love
ooooh
Find me
Somebody
To
Love
Find me
Find me
Find me
Somebody
To
Love
Find me
Somebody
To
Love
Anybody
Anywhere
Anybody find me
Somebody
To

Somebody
To

Help Is On Its Way
The Little River
Band
Why are you in so
much hurry
Is it really worth
the worry
Look around
Then slow down
What's it like
inside the bubble
Does your head ever
give you trouble
It's no sin
Trade it in
Hang on
Help is on its way
I'll be there as
fast
As I can
Hang on
A tiny voice did
say
From somewhere deep
inside
The inner man
Are you always in
confusion
Surrounded by
illusion
Sort it out
You'll make out
Seem to make a good
beginning
Someone else ends
up winning
Don't seem fair
Don't you care
Hang on
Help is on its way
I'll be there as
fast
As I can
Hang on
A tiny voice did
say
From somewhere deep
inside
The inner man
Don't you forget
Who'll take care of
you
It don't matter
What you do
Form a duet
Let Him sing melody
You'll provide
The harmony
Why are you in so
much hurry
Is it really worth
the worry
Look around
Then slow down
What's it like
inside the bubble
Does your head ever
give you trouble
It's no sin
Trade it in
Hang on
Help is on its way
I'll be there as
fast
As I can
Hang on
A tiny voice did
say
From somewhere deep
inside
The inner man
Hang on
Help is on its way
I'll be there as
fast
As I can
Hang on
A tiny voice did
say
From somewhere deep
inside
The inner man
Help is on its way
Help is on its way

Now you know what song will be playing through my thoughts all day long!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Karen!!! Which one?
ReplyDeleteI like the Queen song--one of my favs.
ReplyDeleteDo yourself a treat. Go look for the Freddy Mercury concert for AIDS that was done after he passed. George Michaels sang Somebody to Love and it still gives me shivers at how good a tribute that was - I am a huge fan of Queen too and at first I protested Michaels doing that song but he nailed it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Lin!!! I am glad you enjoyed this.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Kal!!! Yeah, George Michael can flat out sing, and I am glad he did such a good job with the song.
ReplyDeleteQueen = Plastic rock.
ReplyDeleteThe other lot are tolerable.
Thanks for stopping by, my dear Adullamite!!! You make it really easy to consider the source at times. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAh Queen, I loved the early days of Queen. The Seven Seas of Rhye, great song.
ReplyDeleteAlways brings back great memories as did FREE- Wishing Well.
They always seem to go together in my mine.
Thanks for stopping by, my dear Alan!!! Methinks a reasonable person would be hard pressed to find a bad Queen song. There will be at least two more from them in this series if I am allowed and enabled to stay with it long enough.
