Not every song that
will be featured here will be what is generally considered as being “Christian”
in the eyes of this world. For some will
be anguished cries from the pit of despair while others will be quite obviously
fervent rants of rebellion. Nonetheless,
be assured that they will all be of our Heavenly Father (in one way or another)
and I hope that you have been given ears to hear the message.
Spinning Wheel
Blood, Sweat and
Tears
What goes up
Must come down
Spinnin’ wheel
Got to go ‘round
Talkin' 'bout your
troubles
It's a cryin' sin
Ride a painted pony
Let the spinnin’
wheel spin
You got no money
You got no home
Spinnin’ wheel
All alone
Talkin' 'bout your
troubles
And you
You never learn
Ride a painted pony
Let the spinnin’
wheel turn
Did you find
The directin’ sign
On the straight and
narrow highway
Would you mind a
reflecting sign
Just let it shine
Within your mind
And show you
The colors
That are real
Someone is waitin’
Just for you
Spinnin’ wheel
Spinnin’ true
Drop all your
troubles
By the riverside
Catch a painted
pony
On the spinnin’
wheel ride
Someone's waitin’
Just for you
Spinnin’ wheel
Spinnin’ true
Drop all your
troubles
By the riverside
Ride a painted Pony
Let the spinnin’
wheel fly
And When I Die
Blood, Sweat and
Tears
I'm not scared of
dyin’
And I don't really
care
If it's peace you
find in dyin’
Well then let the
time be near
If it's peace you
find in dyin’
And if dyin’ time
is here
Just bundle up my
coffin
'Cause it's cold
way down there
I hear that it's
cold way down there
Yeah
Crazy cold way down
there
And when I die
And when I'm gone
There'll be one
child born
In this world
To carry on
To carry on
Now troubles are
many
They're as deep as
a well
I can swear there
ain't no Heaven
But I pray there
ain't no Hell
Swear there ain't
no Heaven
And I pray there
ain't no Hell
But I'll never know
by livin’
Only my dyin’
Will tell
Yes
Only my dyin’
Will tell
Yeah
Only my dyin’
Will tell
And when I die
And when I'm gone
There'll be one
child born
In this world
To carry on
To carry on
Yeah yeah
Give me my freedom
For as long as I be
All I ask of livin’
Is to have no
chains on me
All I ask of livin’
Is to have no
chains on me
And all I ask of
dyin’
Is to go
Naturally
Oh
I want to go
Naturally
Here I go
Hey hey
Here comes the
devil right behind
Look out children
Here he comes
Here he comes
Hey
Don't want to go by
the devil
Don't want to go by
demon
Don't want to go by
Satan
Don't want to die
uneasy
Just let me go
Naturally
And when I die
And when I'm dead
Dead and gone
There'll be one
child born
In our world
To carry on
To carry on
Yeah yeah

ReplyDeleteAye, no bad.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Desert Rocker!!! I was actually much more into The Grass Roots at the time, but BS&T still rocks!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Adullamite!!! Whoa, that was quite good coming from you.
ReplyDeleteI had that album...probably still have it around here somewhere! I bought it in 1969.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Lee!!! It would be one that I would certainly cherish. I think the coolest album I still have (somewhere) is Chicago Transit Authority's first one, which was a double album with almost every song being a true classic (in my most humble opinion).
ReplyDeleteoldies but goodies
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Ann!!! Indeed.
