Good, Bad and Ugly Ads

Since I have not been given much of a life, I watch an awful lot of television, which includes an awful lot of commercials.  Now, a “GOOD” ad is one that holds my attention and makes me want to at least learn more about the product or service it is for.  A “BAD” ad is one that quickly becomes nothing more than background noise when it cannot be skipped over.  “UGLY” ads are much worse.  For not only do they make we want to never see them again, they make me want to never have anything to do with the company that paid for them to be produced.  Of course, you may feel differently, but I sure wouldn’t say much about it around anyone with a lick of sense.  For I am, after all, an expert on such things—albeit only in my own mind!

  1. My laptop is too slow to watch videos but I know without even watching that I'm not impressed with any of the Jimmy Dean commercials.

  2. I wish I had the patience to even watch TV...let alone commericals! For instnce, it's on now...I hear it...I am reading & the Pres watches it from the time he gets up until bedtime. He hates all commericlas...he surfs while they're on...and I don't mean in the water!!

  3. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Ann!!! I have a hard time wanting to give anything to do with Jimmy Dean Foods a break after all of the wonderful hours I spent waiting for them to grind enough sausage (or whatever they never had enough of) to fill the orders that I was there to pick up and deliver from their Newbern(?), Tennessee plant years ago.

  4. Thanks for stopping by, my dear JP!!! We mostly watch what we have recorded on the DVR and zip through the commercials. However, much in the same way as it works with shiny objects, some commercials have to be paid attention to.
