TFT: The Eurythmics

Not every song that will be featured here will be what is generally considered as being “Christian” in the eyes of this world.  For some will be anguished cries from the pit of despair, and others will be quite obviously fervent rants of rebellion.  Nonetheless, be assured that they will all be of our Heavenly Father (in one way or another) and I hope that you have been given ears to hear the message.

Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)
The Eurythmics
Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree
I travel the world
And the seven seas
Everybody's lookin’ for somethin’
Some of them want to use you
Some of them want to get used by you
Some of them want to abuse you
Some of them want to be abused

Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree
I travel the world
And the seven seas
Everybody's lookin’ for somethin’

Hold your head up
Keep your head up
Movin’ on
Hold your head up
Movin’ on
Keep your head up
Movin’ on
Hold your head up
Movin’ on
Keep your head up
Movin’ on
Hold your head up
Movin’ on
Keep your head up

Some of them want to use you
Some of them want to get used by you
Some of them want to abuse you
Some of them want to be abused

Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree
I travel the world
And the seven seas
Everybody's lookin’ for somethin’
Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree
I travel the world
And the seven seas
Everybody's lookin’ for somethin’
Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree
I travel the world
And the seven seas
Everybody's lookin’ for somethin’
Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree
I travel the world
And the seven seas
Everybody's lookin’ for somethin’
Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree
I travel the world
And the seven seas
Everybody's lookin’ for somethin’
Sweet dreams…

I Need You
The Eurythmics
I need you to pin me down
Just for one frozen moment
I need someone to pin me down
So I can live in torment
I need you to really feel
The twist of my back breakin’
I need someone to listen to
The ecstasy I'm fakin’
I need you
You
You
I need you
You
You

I need you to catch each breath
That issues from my lips
I need someone to crack my skull
I need someone to kiss
So hold me now
And make pretend
That I won't ever fall
Oh hold me down
I'm gonna be your baby doll
Yeah yeah

I need you
I need you
I need you
I need you
You
You
I need you

I need you to pin me down
Just for one frozen moment
I need someone to pin me down
So I can live in torment
I need you to really feel
The twist of my back breakin’
I need someone to listen to
The ecstasy I'm fakin’
Fakin’
I’m fakin’
I’m fakin’

Yeah
You
You
You
You
I need you

I need you
You
Ah you
Is it you I really need
I do
I do
I do
I do
I really do
I need you

  1. I didn't mind some of the Eurythmics songs but Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox got right on my tits.

  2. I like them...most of the time. The second song - bleech. The first is good if over exposed. Heard it so much in the past don't think I can listen to it again - at least not for another 10 years or so.

  3. A great play of video on the first oldie but still goody! The cows were so adorable- makes you want to hug them...and if only I could play an instrument like that and twirl in the lovely field...yes! What a day that would be!

  4. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Tony!!! Um, I'm not sure if I want to know what you specifically meant by that. Is it a cop thing back there? (LOL?)

  6. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Karen!!! I had forgotten many of the details to that video, with not the least of them being the cows in the field. I would wonder why, but I think we all have a pretty good idea what the answer would be.

  8. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Ann!!! I don't remember ever hearing "I Need You" before, either. Their other song (aside from "Sweet Dreams," as far I was aware of) is scheduled for Thursday.

  9. The first song always makes me smile... It is one of those songs that anyone can relate to if you listen to your heart and soul.

  10. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Chris!!! I hope all is going well with you and yours up there! Yes, it is a classic, but if you ever watch the video made for Marilyn Manson's version of the song, you'll never be quite the same anymore. (LOL?)
