Todd Akin and Legitimate Rape

When I first heard about what [Todd Akin] had said, I was shocked—just not for the reason you might think.  For what I found shocking was not what he actually said.  For I have heard it before, but I never imagined hearing it coming from a high profile candidate while campaigning before a major election.

Be assured that what happened was a clear case of our Heavenly Father bringing something that had been meant to be kept hidden out into the light, and there is more to this than just Akin’s position on the matter.  For there are quite a few who believe as he does, which should be becoming clearer and clearer as more like [Fred Berry] and [Kirk Cameron] come out in defense of him.

No, this is not to say that all of them believe that our Heavenly Father created a woman’s body to defend against a pregnancy from an actual rape, which is what he meant to say, but in any event, they are rigidly against allowing legal abortions in this country.  Therefore, they will remain Akin supporters for as long as he also remains rigidly against allowing legal abortions in this country.

As if it was not bad enough before, this is where it gets really uncomfortable to talk openly.  For unless you can clearly hear and understand what our Heavenly Father is saying, you will undoubtedly summarily dismiss almost everything that He has given me to say on the subject—regardless of which side of it you may be wanting to stand.

Anyway, be assured that those who are rigidly against allowing legal abortions in this country have a good reason to be.  For an abortion is murder, plain and simple.  Furthermore, it doesn’t matter if the pregnancy came as the result of an actual rape or just a regrettable time of drunken debauchery.

However, the anti-abortion forces have almost everything else wrong.  For if you listen, you will hear many of them saying that the aborted babies will never be allowed to be in the very presence of God on account of being denied the opportunity to have their sins washed away in a formal baptism.  You will also hear them saying that God will surely allow this nation to fall on account of making it legal to keep babies from going to the highest Heaven (among other things, such as legalizing gay/lesbian marriage).

No, aborted babies will not be denied a thing.  In fact, it could even be argued that being aborted is a great blessing.  For their souls will go straight to our Heavenly Father’s bosom to spend all of eternity with Him in His Kingdom of Heaven as an heir to all that is His in glory without having to endure living a life as a prisoner of this world.

There is, of course, that thing about an abortion being murder to consider.  Therefore, no one in their right-mind would think that an abortion is a good thing.

On the other hand, those in their right-mind would be recognizing that it is actually those who do not want to see anything wrong with abortions that are the ones who are in desperate need of saving, which is something that cannot be accomplished through the rule of law—not even through the full implementation of our Heavenly Father’s Law!  For if someone wants to believe that there is nothing wrong with aborting babies, it doesn’t matter if it is legal or illegal to have an abortion.  Therefore, what is needed is a change of heart, and this is something that only our Heavenly Father can accomplish.

Nonetheless, we can make it harder for hearts to change, and people like Todd Akin most certainly do.  For as I used to say before our Heavenly Father made Himself real to me, “If being a good Christian means having to be like them, I would rather take my chances in Hell.”

Oh, if you are wondering if I have any Bible verses to back up any of that, please take a gander (or two) at [Aborted Values].  While there, you might find [Political Correctness] and [Heal The Land] to also be of interest.

Using this in politics is not wise.
However you said much that is good. However emotion, stirred by women's groups, makes sense difficult to hear.

  4. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Adullamite!!!! I hope that the American Christian community will soon come to accept that our Heavenly Father's righteousness cannot be accomplished through the enactment of laws, but it will probably get much worse before it gets any better. For several fundamentalist groups are starting to get desperate, and they will be seeking to settle matters in a much more violent manner.
