Come Monday...Still Super

“Come Monday…” is a weekly series that will involve a review of, or commentary about,  websites, movies, documentaries, television shows, sports, music, and whatever else may tickle my fancy at the time.  Be assured that these reviews will be generally positive, as in accordance to the Jimmy Buffett song “Come Monday.”  This is subject to change, however.  In fact, I would be most derelict in my duties to neglect going on a rant every once in a while.  For rants promote change, and change can be good—right?  Therefore, since good is generally considered as being a positive force in 99.3% of the parallel universes that I am aware of, even a rant could be considered as being something positive, and a genuine hissy-fit would be even better (so I’m told).

Despite the New York Football Giants beating the New England Patriots, 21-17, I considered Super Bowl XLVI to still be a super Super Bowl.  For several of the celebrated “Super Bowl Ads” really were worth celebrating, and the halftime show was nothing short of spectacular.

That last part is really saying something.  For I have never been all that much of a Madonna fan.  Neither has my wife, but we both sat there with mouths gaped wide open while watching a perfectly choreographed extravaganza that had to of made Lady Gaga dive for her drawing board in the hope of coming up with something to top it.

As in regards to the controversial [Randall Terry Anti-Abortion Ad], I didn’t see it, and we even also recorded the five and a half day long pregame show.  Earlier, I was under the impression that it would be run nationwide, but while looking to see if there was a news report of some judge issuing a injunction against it airing, I found that the incredibly graphic ad was only scheduled to run in certain areas, which here in Springfield, MO was one of.  So, I don’t know what happened.

Since my internal clock is currently completely out of sync, I need to keep this short and sweet.  It was short and sweet—right?

  5. 'fan'tastic! I loved the game, was also in awe of Madonna's performance, also not being a hardcore groupie. We thought it was one of the best half-time shows in a good long while. In fact, cannot recall even who performed last year, but was not impressed enough to sit it out.
I'll be watching for more of your short and sweets.
