TFT: The Gatlin Brothers

Not every song that will be featured here will be what is generally considered as being “Christian” in the eyes of this world.  For some will be anguished cries from the pit of despair, and others will be quite obviously ferverent rants of rebellion.  Nonetheless, be assured that they will all be of our Heavenly Father (in one way or another) and I hope that you have been given ears to hear the message.

All the Gold in California
Larry Gatlin and The Gatlin Brothers
All the gold
In California
Is in a bank in the middle of Beverly Hills
In somebody else's name
So if you're dreamin’
About California
It don't matter at all
Where you've played before
California's a brand new game

Tryin' to be a hero
Windin’ up a zero
Can scar a man forever
Right down to your soul
Livin’ on the spotlight
Can kill a man outright
'Cause everything that glitters
Is not gold

And all the gold
In California
Is in a bank in the middle of Beverly Hills
In somebody else's name
So if you're dreamin’
About California
It don't matter at all
Where you've played before
California's a brand new game
All the gold
In California
Is in a bank in the middle of Beverly Hills
In somebody else's name
So if you're dreamin’
About California
It don't matter at all
Where you've played before
California's a brand new game
Brand new game
A brand new game

Broken Lady
Larry Gatlin and The Gatlin Brothers
She’s a broken lady
Waiting to be mended
Like a potter would mend
A broken vase
A broken lady
Waiting to be mended
And have what’s left
Of the pieces
Put back in place

Her love was like a fortress
Around a man she would have died for
Taking care
To take care
Of all he needed
But the lady’s fortress
Slowly turned into a prison
And the warning signs he gave
She never heeded
She vowed every mornin’
That what God joined together
No one else in the world
Could pull apart
And then the walls came tumblin’ to the ground
And her world came crashin’ down
Around her heart

She’s a broken lady
Waiting to be mended
Like a potter would mend
A broken vase
A broken lady
Waiting to be mended
And have what’s left
Of the pieces
Put back in place
She’s a broken lady
Waiting to be mended
And have what’s left
Of the pieces
Put back in place

  5. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Ann!!! You may be thinking of when I sent a link to that video to you in an email several months ago. Well, at least I think I did, and even if I didn't, I would've liked to. For I'm just that kind of all-around good guy, you know. Anyway, I hope you liked it.
