Queen's Fat Bottomed Girls

Link: [Queen]

Please forgive me. For this is just for fun. It is, after all, one of my all-time favorites songs, and not for the reason you may think. Oh yeah, in regards to the sound: CRANK IT UP!!!

Fat Bottomed Girls
Queen
Are
You gonna take me home tonight
Ahhh
Down beside your red firelight
Are
You gonna let it all hang out
Fat bottomed girls
You make the rockin’ world go round

I was just a skinny lad
Never knew no good from bad
But I knew life before I left my nursery
Huh
Left alone with big fat Fanny
She was such a naughty nanny
Heap big woman
You made a bad boy out of me

I’ve been singin’ with my band
Across the wire
Across the land
I’ve seen every blue eyed floozy on the way
Hey
But their beauty and their style
Went kind of smooth after a while
Take me to them dirty ladies every time

C’mon

Oh
Won’t you take me home tonight
Oh
Down beside your red firelight
Oh
And you give it all you got
Fat bottomed girls
You make the rockin’ world go round
Fat bottomed girls
You make the rockin’ world go round

Now I got mortgages on homes
I got stiffness in ma’ bones
Ain’t no beauty queens in this locality
I tell you
Oh but I still get my pleasure
Still get my greatest treasure
Heap big woman
You gonna make a big man out of me

Oh
You gonna take me home tonight
Oh
Down beside that red firelight
Are you gonna let it all hang out
Fat bottomed girls
You make the rockin’ world go round
Yeah
Fat bottomed girls
You make the rockin’ world go round

Get on your bikes and ride

Ride ‘em
C’mon

Ride on

  2. I actually like album version much better than this one, but I realize that there is no substitution for really being there. I have only got to see a few big names in concert, and even though I knew that what they were singing on stage was not the same as what they recorded, I didn't care. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear John!!!

  5. I am a fan of Queen...I really do love their music. Especially Another One Bites the Dust, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, You're My Bestfriend and Somebody to Love.
    Thanks for sharing the video.

  6. It's a shame Mercury died, this group was truly what you would call a Mega Group. Talented, visually out standing and most of all their music still holds up. Good memories from this song......

  7. There is NO Body who can belt it out like FREDDIE. RIP Mr. Mercury. I'm sure he's doing all the shows in Heaven. that song makes me have to get up and Shake What My Momma Gave Me. cause you know I'm a "Big Batty Girl" (as we say in Jamaica) (wink*wink) Wow FishHawk - you really know my music taste. LOVES IT!

  8. Is there any other way to listen to Queen other than to CRANK IT UP? I'm married to a total classic rock fan (no other music is allowed in our house) I frequently hear songs like this cranked way up in my house.

  9. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Gail!!! I was a little late to the party with this song. For I can't remember ever hearing it before being out on the truck over-the-road, which started in '87 for me. Be assured that it immediately became one of my all-time favorite Queen songs. In fact, one of my all-time favorite songs PERIOD.

  11. Me too, my dear Bingkee. Don't forget about Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are The Champions and Bicycle, along with the theme songs for Iron Eagle and Highlander, on that list. Thanks for stopping by again!!!

  12. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Glenn!!! Would you like to know just how "innocent" (okay, maybe ignorant might better apply) I was way back when? Well, I had no idea that "Queen" stood for him being a "queen" until it was announced that he had died from AIDS, and I took it rather hard. For how could I love their music so much and maintain my status as an ultimate manly man? So, I became a closeted Queen fan until our Heavenly Father got me to understand that Freddie Mercury was just as loved by Him as I was, and I hope Freddie repented of his homosexuality before it was too late. Really, that is all that it takes, but this is a step that far too many are not willing to take, which causes our Heavenly Father a great deal of anguish.

  13. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear BadGal!!! Methinks that we have a lot in common, and as I just told Glenn, I hope Freddie repented of his homosexuality before it was too late.

  15. How could anyone not love a husband like that? Although, there are a lot tunes in other genres that really rock (so to speak). Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Ann!!!
