ReplyDeleteI like the lyrics of the songs but I can't say that I'm crazy about their sound. Maybe it's just me but it seems that a lot of the newer bands seem to have a very similar sound. Just isn't as good as the old stuff I grew up with.

I first got introduced to the alternative/punk/emo/a little something something scene when I was downloading music for my nephew, and I was shocked to find several groups that I really liked. Granted, they don't hold a candle to The Beatles or Led Zepplin in regards to overall enjoyability to me, but they are still well worth listening to in my opinion--especially in regards to the lyrics of many of their songs, which is what the focus is on in this series.
