A Sunday Drive

Back during my childhood, our parents would often load up my brother and I after Sunday morning church services for a leisurely drive around where we lived. Even though we were seeing mostly familiar sights, it was still good to see them, and this is why “A Sunday Drive” sounded about right for the name of a weekly series revisiting familiar sites that are well worth seeing again and again. The link below the image is to the site itself, and the image is linked to the post it was first included in here.

  3. You are most welcome, and thanks for being so considerate, my dear Triz!!! You'll be included in the upcoming special edition Christmas Gift Sites To See, as well. That is, unless our Heavenly Father has other plans, of course.

  5. Arrrrghhhhh! Phelps!!!! He is a freak. I love how the media tried brain-washing us with the "he is soooo handsome" bit. Ick. Ick. Ick. I'm glad he was smoking dope--now we don't have to hear about him all the time.

  7. Thanks for bringing back my little picture of the deer. It really brings back a good memory for me. I've just been thinking that I haven't seen as many deer this winter. I see a few others feel the same way about some of these pictures.

  11. I remember the Sunday drives my Dad would take my Mom on along with my two younger brothers. Had many great memories driving down a part of old Route 66 in our small town of Illinois. Thanks for bringing back those pleasant memories.

  12. Thanks for stopping by, my dear David!!! Did you live anywhere near McLean? The reason why I ask is that I can remember the great Route 66 museum they had in a truck stop (The Dixie, I think) off of I-55 there. As for myself, my wife and I live just off the old Route 66 in Springfield, MO now, and I have traveled many sections of the actual old road while truckin' coast to coast.

  15. great artwork...mighty kind of you to feature fellow bloggers in this way.

But I guess that's what being a part of the blogging community is all about. I miss it so much when I'm away for more than a day or two.

You guys are great! Thanks for visiting me :)

  16. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Roschelle!!! I hope you see some sites that you will want to visit again and again. By the way, I'm glad your fingers don't smell like worms after coming back from your fishing trip. I don't why, but I am.
