Back during our childhood, our parents would often load
up my brother and me after Sunday morning church services for a leisurely drive
around where we lived. Even though we
were seeing mostly familiar sights, it was still good to see them again, and
this is why “A Sunday Drive” sounded about right for the name of a series
revisiting familiar sites that are well worth seeing again and again. The link below the image is to the site
itself, and the image is linked to the post it was first included in here.

I gotta get hopping down the bunny trail if I want to see all these sights before I head off for work.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you and Arlynda
Thanks for stopping by, my dear Ann!!! I hope you don't break something while trying to hip-hop.
DeleteI was a choir boy so Easter weekends (then) was spent in churches
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Martin!!! I was raised in a very conservative Southern Baptist home. So, Easter was a really big deal for us, too.
DeleteSo, you’re from Arkansas? My wife and I are from Mississippi but have lived in Oregon for a long time. She was a Southern Baptist gal from a very religious family, and I was a Church of Christ guy from the same and we both ended up atheists.
DeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Snowbrush!!! I was born a little north of your state-line in Newport, which is around 50 miles northeast of Memphis. I have never doubted the existence of our Heavenly Father, but after being convinced that I could never be good enough to be pleasing to Him and could never expect any true blessings, I sought the support of the devil. It was then that our Heavenly Father started making Himself real to me, and He has allowed and enabled to know and understand that very little of what He actually says is absolutely true has been presented in His name by either Protestants or Catholics. Be assured that it all came as a great shock to my system (so to speak) and I hope you and your wife will be willing to accept it when the time comes, which may not be until the last possible moment.
DeleteThanks for the list, as usual. I was glad to be reminded of A Bit about Britain because nothing I do can make it come up on my feed and so I have to be always remembering to visit. It's one of my favourite blogs so usually I do. But still. :) Have a good weekend, Jerry!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Jenny!!! Methinks you both do amazingly well.
