A Sunday Drive

Back during our childhood, our parents would often load up my brother and me after Sunday morning church services for a leisurely drive around where we lived.  Even though we were seeing mostly familiar sights, it was still good to see them again, and this is why “A Sunday Drive” sounded about right for the name of a series revisiting familiar sites that are well worth seeing again and again.  The link below the image is to the site itself, and the image is linked to the post it was first included in here.

  1. Sure wish I could take this ride later in the day. It's hard to see all these great sights in the dark

    1. You are most welcome, and thanks for being so considerate, my dear rjs!!! I have been watching quite a lot of CNBC the past year or so, and I now find much about the markets rather disturbing (to say the least).

    2. i watched a lot of CNBC circa 2007 to 2009, Jerry, but not much since...as i recall, they were often sonewhat emotional...of course, markets were pretty unsettling then, too..

i have just posted my synopsis of the past week's economic reports:
January jobs report; December’s income and outlays, trade deficit, construction spending, factory inventories and Mortgage Monitor
fairly cut and dried, but then again i'm not on TV...

    3. Thanks for stopping by, my dear rjs!!! The thing that has made the most disturbing impression upon me about publicly-traded companies is that they must be at least appearing to make improvements on a regular basis or be headed for death--even when what they have been doing is absolutely wonderful. No wonder so much gets so messed up when what is not broken is constantly being fixed (and more often for the worse).

  3. Hey Jerry, think I'll take a drive... I hope you're well? The skies have turned a strangely unseasonal winter blue, yet we've been warned of a heat wave... I'm just enjoying a late Sunday afternoon outside next to the pool, just the breeze and birds for company, pretty great *grin* hope your Sunday's great too.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Shadow!!! Be very thankful for your physical health. For the more I find I can no longer do, the more I realize just how much I always took for granted before. Alas, it has been over 20 years since the last time I was able to take a swim.
