another. Just to be clear, inclusion in
this series is not necessarily meant as a recommendation, and I have included
sites that are rather disturbing to me.

I had opportunity (years ago) to buy a six-string Gibson banjo, which was made in the 1930s and fingered like a guitar, for not all that much money. I did not do it, and I have been kicking myself over it ever since.
