Sites To See #372

The SOLE purpose of this series is to help call attention to sites that I think many would find most interesting—in one way or another.  Just to be clear, inclusion in this series is not necessarily meant as a recommendation, and I have included sites that are rather disturbing to me.  The link below each image is to the site itself, and each image is linked to the particular post from which it was taken when applicable.  Please, go see for yourself.  Oh, and as of August 10, 2012, I will be no longer including sites that have auto-play and word verification engaged.

  1. Here I am trying to get in a little blogging time before work and you have to throw in a picture of donuts to remind me that I can't sit here all day long. (SIGH) I guess I have to go to work now.

  2. Love the Rembrandt mouse self-portrait. I just checked out the artist's blog (thanks to you) and I'll be back to check out some of the others. Have a terrific weekend.

  4. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Ann!!! I'm so sorry that you have to go to work, but while you are there, I would like three dozen sour cream old-fashion cake doughnuts to go, please.

  5. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Stephen!!! That "old-masters" style of painting is by far my favorite kind, and Rembrandt is my favorite painter.

  6. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Karen!!! I sure hope their local school sports teams are not called the Losers. For that would have to leave a bad mark upon the kids.

  7. I look forward to your posts--all of them and I even find some new blogs that interest me on your Sunday Drive. Also, I just finished reading what you have shared over at FishHawk Droppings. Interesting and relate-able ( don't know how to spell that word or if it even is a word!) Anyway, it was a good read for me.

  8. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Penny!!! Be assured that I greatly appreciate the encouragement. One of the books that has not been included in the FishHawk Droppings line-up yet(?) is The God Box, which you can read for free at the address below. It is a very short book. So, it should not be all that painful to endure. (LOL?) Oh, and if you believe I have been woefully deceived, please do not hesitate to try to show me the error(s) in my thinking.

  9. Thanks again for the link! The picture you posted is my black lab Barkley who passed away in late February. A novel about life with a lab is coming out in June, in bookstores and online.

I miss him a lot but have a new rescue Lab named Abby, 5 years old, I got from a shelter.

  10. You are most welcome, and thanks for being so considerate, my dear Brigid!!! I really feel for your loss. We lost our little Stewie (long-haired chihuahua/Pomeranian mix) last week. I will look for your book about Barkley to see about including it in the upcoming Thinking About Christmas Gifts In July 2014 series.
