WhiteHeart Wednesday

Convertibles
WhiteHeart

Hey
Are you ready to go
Got the top turned down
On my GTO

Come on
Let’s all jump in
Gonna take this car
For a little spin

Oh
Hear the motor hum
Gonna ride it ‘til the end
Of this summers sun

Wind
Blowin’ through my hair
The sky is blue
I haven’t got a care

Feel so good
And free
Just like God
Is sittin’ next to me

Oh
Don’t you feel it too?
You gotta know that it
Really must be true

God made convertibles
Oh the Son is shinin’ here
You can see it pretty clear

God made convertibles
As the High and Mighty’s known
He’s not a manufacturer

God made convertibles
As I put the pedal down
Let it give you a roll

Hey
It’s an open road
Got this tune cranked up
On my radio

The whole world
Has got the song
They just can’t help
But to sing along

Oh
Can’t hold it in
Be like this top
‘Cause they’re opened up to Him

God made convertibles
Oh the Son is shinin’ here
You can see it pretty clear

God made convertibles
As the High and Mighty’s known
He’s not a manufacturer

God made convertibles
Lemonade and apple pie
Gotta know the reason why

God made convertibles
As you the pedal down
Let it leave you on the road

God
God
God made convertibles

God made convertibles
Oh the Son is shinin’ here
You can see it very clear

God made convertibles
As the High and Mighty’s known
He’s not a manufacturer

God made convertibles
Lemonade and apple pie
You gotta know the reason why

God made convertibles
As you put the pedal down
Let it leave it you the road

God made convertibles

God made convertibles

Jump on in
Start it up
Drop the top and feel His love

God made convertibles

God made convertibles

God made convertibles

God made convertibles

God made convertibles

  5. GTO's...lol, lordy you must be as old as me, which is as old as dirt. lol

When I was a kid, dad had what I'm sure was his dream car. It was used, a 57 Ford Fairlane Hardtop Convertible. The car was black and gold. It was beautiful. He kept it together with black magic. The hydrologics meant you could only pack a small amount of stuff for a family vacation.

Aside from that, I've never liked a convertible. The sound of the wind keeps conversation at a minimum.

  8. Wow, your dad's Fairlane sounds like a really cool car, my dear Sandy. My dad had a '64 coupe, and it was my job to keep it greased. Did you know that they had 14 grease-certs, with many of them being in quite challenging locations? Thanks for stopping by again!!!
