I’ll Meet You There
WhiteHeart
I feel the chill of autumns wind
Seasons changin’ once again
And every moments best
Still one moment less
We spend
Together my friend
I can't hold back these tears in my eyes
This time I won't even try
For time has come and gone
Now we must move on
I'll admit I don't know why
Now we must say good-bye
To find our road ahead
Destiny leads us on
To another place
But I'll meet you there someday
We chase the future into past
Only to find it never lasts
By the time it's gone
The pain is so strong
In the end
But listen my friend
Although we've lost what was before
Forever will bring us the chance once more
In that time we'll see
What was meant to be
A special moment to cherish for all of our lives
And we'll know in time
Why we must say good-bye
To find our road ahead
Destiny leads us on to another place
But I'll meet you there
From the lives we all leave behind
We find there's much more ahead
The Father will lead us on
To a better place
And I'll meet you there someday
I'll meet you there someday
I'll meet you there someday

You were right my friend. Sylvia and I enjoyed this song -- a lot. This morning we had received an e-mail from a missionary friend. She just lost her husband to cancer a short while ago. Sylvia is going to send her the link to this post.

I am so very glad that you-all liked this song, my dear Chuck. I hope it helps to bring some comfort to your missionary friend. Thanks for stopping by again!!!
ReplyDeleteMe popping over so you know I'm a OK. Thanks for your concern; I didn't realize I had missed responding to something.

It's just that you had a total of 36 comments on the 2 posts before your last one, and I was just reminded of the fact that you often do not respond to comments directly on your blog. Anyway, it's good to hear that you are okay. Thanks for stopping by again!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a very beautiful song. I love how he sing it, soft for a man.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure who was singing. For this is one of their older songs, and they have had several lead singers over the years. Regardless, it is indeed a beautiful song, and I'm glad you liked it, my dear Tricia. Thanks for stopping by again!!!
ReplyDeleteSinging would be Rick Florian. They did have a few leader singers through out the years, however Rick Florian was the main singer from Don't wait for the movie and the 8 albums after. Basically he sang the majority of their songs, after he joined the band up until their breakup.(Don't wait for the movie, Emergancy Broadcast, Freedom, Powerhouse, Tales of Wonder, Highlands, Inside and Redemtion.) The amazing thing is he used to be their roadie before he got hired as the lead singer.
ReplyDeleteThought I would throw on here that Rick Florian has the best voice ever. Unfortuanately I never got to see them live. They were around before I was and broke up when I was 11. Luckily for me I decided to give my Dad's old cd's a listen when I was 17 and feel in love with Freedom, of course then I had to check out the rest of them.
ReplyDeleteWhiteHeart is one of those bands that even the music scene has moved on from that genre the band remains a classic and few bands compare (secular or christian, past present and future) partially because of their diversity with strong 80's rock and amazing power ballads. I don't care what age you are or what generation you come from you will find something you like about Whiteheart.
I'm a huge Whiteheart fan in case you can't tell.
Thank you so very much for your insightful comments, my dear Maegan!!! "I'll Meet You There" is a song that snuck-up on me. For I had been a huge fan of the group for years before ever hearing of the song. Needlessly to say, it instantly became one of my favorites. Since I am fairly sure I know who you are, dare I say that I do not consider your opinion to be prejudicial in the least. For your dad truly is an amazing singer.
