Journey vs. Petra Haden

 Link: [Journey]

Don’t Stop Believin’
Journey
Just a small town girl
Livin’ in a lonely world
She took the midnight train
Goin’ anywhere
Just a city boy
Born and raised in south Detroit
He took the midnight train
Goin’ anywhere

A singer in a smoky room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on

Strangers
Waitin’
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows
Searchin’
In the night
Streetlight
People
Livin’ just to find emotion
Hidin’
Somewhere
In the night

Workin’ hard to get my fill
Everybody wants a thrill
Payin’ anything to roll the dice
Just one more time
Some will win
Some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on

Strangers
Waitin’
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows
Searchin’
In the night
Streetlight
People
Livin’ just to find emotion
Hidin’
Somewhere
In the night

Don’t stop
Believin’
Hold on to that feelin’
Streetlight
People
Oh oh oh
Don’t stop
Believin’
Hold on to that feelin’
Streetlight
People
Oh oh oh
Don’t stop
Believin’
Streetlight
People
Oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh

I see that you believe
True believers
All-right

Momma sad and hungry
And standing on a prayer
Don’t stop believin’

And the mothers and their children
Never felt no love or care
Don’t stop believin’

Said the dream is in the music
And the life is in the dance
Don’t stop believin’

Hey for this school year
Let’s all give peace a chance
Do you believe it
Do you believe it

Don’t stop
Don’t stop

Don’t stop

Don’t stop
Don’t stop

Don’t stop
Don’t stop

Don’t stop
Don’t stop

Don’t stop
Don’t stop
Don’t stop
Don’t stop
Don’t stop believin’

Don’t stop
Don’t stop
Don’t stop
Don’t stop
Don’t stop
Don’t stop

Don’t stop
Don’t stop
Don’t stop
Don’t stop
Don’t stop
Don’t stop
Don’t stop believin’

Don’t stop
Don’t stop
Don’t stop
Don’t stop
Don’t stop

Don’t stop believin’

Do you believe it

Don’t stop believin’

  1. I've never heard of Petra Haden and I don't care for their version one bit. Journey all the way on this one

  2. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Ann!!! Really? Granted, their version is not nearly as good as Journey's, but I find it fascinating that all of those "instrumental" sounds were made verbally.
