This weekly series
will include as many of my all-time favorite tunes as I can get my grubby
little hands on (so to speak). Now, each
one included in each edition will have some connection with the other—albeit
only as a figment of my imagination, but they will not be numbered. For I just cannot bring myself to rate some
higher than others. So, this will not be
a countdown, but if you are enjoying them as much as I do, it won’t
matter. Besides, with no countdown, this
could go on forever and ever! Oh, and
despite the fact that there is absolutely no way that your musical tastes can
be as exquisite as mine, I welcome any suggestions that you might dare to
make. I am, after all, quite magnanimous
by nature.

I am he
As you are he
As you are me
And we are all
together
See how they run
Like pigs from a gun
See how they fly
I'm crying
Sitting on a
cornflake
Waiting for the van
to come

Stupid bloody

Man you’ve been a
naughty boy
You let your face
grow long
I am the eggman
They are the eggmen
I am the walrus

Pretty little

See how they fly
Like Lucy in the

Dripping from a
dead dog's eye
Crabalocker

Pornographic priestess
Boy you’ve been a

You let your

I am the eggman
They are the eggmen
I am the walrus

Sitting in an
English garden
Waiting for the sun
If the sun don't
come
You’ll get a tan
from
Standing in the
English rain

Why don't you ask
him
If he's goin’ to
stay
Why don't you ask
him
If he's goin’ away
Hey hey
Why don't you tell
me
What's going on
Why don't you tell
me
Who is on the phone
Oh oh
Oh oh
Why don't you ask
him
What is going on
Why don't you ask
him
Who's the latest on
his throne
Whoa oh
Whoa oh
Don't say that you
love me
Just tell me that
you want me
Tusk
Just say that you
want me
Don’t tell me that
you

Thanks for stopping by, my dear Alan!!! Did The Beatles ever record a bad song? If they did, I have not run across it yet. Granted, there some that I do not like as much as others, but even those are not bad at all.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Erena!!! I am really glad you enjoyed this.
ReplyDeleteThe Beatles, the greatest Rock group ever!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Tony!!! Classy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Adullamite!!! INDEED!
ReplyDeleteTsk! Tsk! Tsk! Tusk is one of my all time favourites!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Lee!!! It has an added appeal to me because of being a member of my high school marching band. Although nothing in comparison to the USC marching band, we were considered pretty good, which got us invited to preform at a Arkansas Razorbacks football game during half-time once a year. Oh how I wish Tusk had of come out back in the early 70s!
ReplyDeletea thumbs up on both songs.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Ann!!! I am really glad you enjoyed them.
