TFT: The Bee Gees

Not every song that will be featured here will be what is generally considered as being “Christian” in the eyes of this world.  For some will be anguished cries from the pit of despair, and others will be quite obviously ferverent rants of rebellion.  Nonetheless, be assured that they will all be of our Heavenly Father (in one way or another) and I hope that you have been given ears to hear the message.

Lonely Days
The Bee Gees
Good morning Mr. Sunshine
You brighten up my day
Come sit beside me
In your way
I see you every morning
Outside the restaurants
The music plays
So nonchalant

Ah ah ah

Lonely days
Lonely nights
Where would I be
Without my woman
Lonely days
Lonely nights
Where would I be
Without my woman
Lonely days
Lonely nights
Where would I be
Without my woman
Lonely days
Lonely nights
Where would I be
Without my woman

Lonely days
Lonely nights
Where would I be
Without my woman

Good morning Mr. Sunshine
You brighten up my day
Come sit beside me
In your way

Ah ah ah

Lonely days
Lonely nights
Where would I be
Without my woman
Lonely days
Lonely days
Lonely nights
Lonely nights
Where would I be
Without my woman
Lonely days
Lonely nights
Lonely days
Lonely days
Lonely nights
Lonely nights
Where would I be
Without my woman
Lonely days
Lonely nights
Lonely days
Lonely days
Lonely nights
Lonely nights
Where would I be
Without my woman
Lonely days
Lonely nights

Massachusetts
The Bee Gees
Feel I’m goin’ back
To Massachusetts
Something’s tellin’ me
I must go home
And the lights all went out
In Massachusetts
The day I left
Her standin’ on her own

Tried to hitch a ride
To San Francisco
Gotta do the things
I wanna do
And the lights all went out
In Massachusetts
They brought me back
To see my way with you

Talk about the life
In Massachusetts
Speak about the people
I have seen
And the lights all went out
In Massachusetts
And Massachusetts
Is one place I have seen

I
Will remember
Massachusetts
I
Will remember
Massachusetts
I

  1. Well at least this is not another plastic cowboy. But really, the Bee Gees! Grace will like this at least.

They had a double album out, maroon velvet covered at that. There were dozens of them in the racks at 'John Menzies' in Princes St when I was a lad. I think most of them are still there!

  6. Oh my, I hated the disco days. I can't believe I even used to listen to some of that stuff.

  7. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Donna!!! Okay, I'll admit that I really liked even some of their disco stuff, but the songs like these two are much more my style.

  9. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Grace!!! Well, in a way, yes, I was having some fun with including The Bee Gees at this time. For I have been promising Adullamite that disco was coming to help ease his distress over the country music, but on the other hand, I love both of these songs, which are most definitely not what I would call disco. Stayin' Alive? Yes. Lonely Days? No, not even close.

  10. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Adullamite!!! Yep, you two were made for each other, and I think that there would be A LOT of money to be made from a reality show with both of you under the same roof.

  11. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Ann!!! If it makes you feel any better, "Massachusetts" could easily be a country song, and as I told Grace, "Lonely Days" is most definitely not a disco tune to me.

  12. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Lavender!!! I think I remember reading somewhere that they always put a Roto-Rooter man on retainer wherever they went.
