E.L.O. vs Ace Frehley

Do Ya
Electric Light Orchestra
Well
In this life
I’ve seen everything I can see
Woman
I’ve seen
Lovers flyin’ through the air
Hand in hand
I’ve seen
Babies dancin’ in the midnight sun
And I’ve seen
Dreams that came from the
Heavenly skies above
I’ve seen
Old men cryin’
At their own grave sites
And I’ve seen
Pigs all sittin’
Watching picture slides
But I
I
Never seen nothing like you

Do ya
Do ya
Want my love
Woman
Do ya
Do ya
Want my face
I need it
Do ya
Do ya
Want my mind
I’m sayin’
Do ya
Do ya
Want my love

Well I
Heard the crowd
Singin’ out of tune
As they
Sat and sang Auld Lang Syne
By the light of the moon
I heard
The preachers bangin’ on the drums
And I
Heard the police playin’ with their guns
But I
I
Never heard nothin’ like you

In the country
Where the sky touches down
On the field
She lay her down to rest
In the morning sun
They come a-runnin’
Just to take a look
Just to feel
To touch her long black hair
They don’t give a damn

But I
I
Never seen nothing like you

Do ya
Do ya
Want my love
Woman
Do ya
Do ya
Want my face
I need it
Do ya
Do ya
Want my mind
I’m sayin’
Do ya
Do ya
Want my love

Well I think
You know what I’m tryin’ to say
Woman
That is
I’d like to save you
For a rainy day
I’ve seen
Enough of the world to know
That I’ve
Got to get it all
To get it all to grow

Do ya
Do ya
Want my love
C’mon now
Do ya
Do ya
Want my face
I need it
Do ya
Do ya
Want my mind
All-right now
Do ya
Do ya
Want my love

Ahhh
Look out
Do ya
Do ya
Want my love
Do ya
Do ya
Want my love
Ooooh
Ooooh

Silly rock stars, it should be...

"I have never seen anything quite like you."

  6. Sorry but I have to go along with everyone else here. Even Duke agrees with me.

  7. Ace should break out the make-up and dust off the high heels and call Gene. He is no match for Jeff Lynne on this song.

  8. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Lavender!!! Yeah, rock stars would have been better off staying in school and learning proper grammar.

  10. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Squirrel Queen!!! Yeah, the original is really hard to beat, but I thought Ace did a really good job with it. In fact, adding the acoustical guitar rift almost tipped the balance in his favor to me.

Oh, I just added your wonderful "Through Squirrel Eyes" to the list for a future Sites To See here (every Friday). I will let you know when it is actually included, which will be a while because of how many were already on the list.
