Come Monday...Encyclopedia Dramatica

“Come Monday…” is a weekly series that will involve a review of, or commentary about,  websites, movies, documentaries, television shows, sports, music, and whatever else may tickle my fancy at the time.  Be assured that these reviews will be generally positive, as in accordance to the Jimmy Buffett song “Come Monday.”  This is subject to change, however.  In fact, I would be most derelict in my duties to neglect going on a rant every once in a while.  For rants promote change, and change can be good—right?  Therefore, since good is generally considered as being a positive force in 99.3% of the parallel universes that I am aware of, even a rant could be considered as being something positive, and a genuine hissy-fit would be even better (so I’m told).

If you have been desperately searching for a place out here in cyberspace that makes a particular kind of German porn (don’t ask) seem relatively mainstream (the stream part of that last word should give you a hint), [Encyclopedia Dramatica] will surely be a site for sore eyes. If you have not been looking for such a place, nor have any desire to see how far the depths of depravity can reach, DO NOT click on any of the links provided.

Okay, that was really unfair to the German porn industry. For that sort of filth is produced in a number of countries, but I suppose that is beside the point.

To be a little less cryptic, the point is that Encyclopedia Dramatica has “stuff” that would make a drunk frat-boy on spring break in [Tijuana] back up and say, “Whoa.”  Take [Holocaust Porn] for an example.

No, this is not a place for just grossly deviant sexuality. For it appears to take great pride in being an equal opportunity offender, and the [Nigger Manual] serves as perfectly perverse example of that.

If you require more proof, click on the random page link at the bottom of the first set of links up at the top of the sidebar on the left side of the page. Just remember, you have been warned.

Strangely enough, I hope many will have the courage to see more. For our Heavenly Father wants as many as will to know what He has been enduring in order to prove just how worthy He truly is to receive all of our love and trust.

No, this is not to say that there has to be bad in order for there to be good, but the role of the devil and his demons is to make our sins all the more egregious in order to make it easier for us to see how desperately in need of Savior we all are. There should not be any doubt about that for all who see nothing necessarily wrong about the content on Encyclopedia Dramatica.

P.S.: On occasion, I have been asked about how the usual content of this site matches up with the mission statement on the header, and this post should help make it all the more clear. Granted, what is generally published is much more subtle, be assured that it is all meant to call attention to what our Heavenly Father sees and hears—both the bad and the good. May all who have been given ears to hear listen to what He has to say about it, and may all who have been given eyes to see as He sees not want to close them when He is wanting something to be seen.

  2. it is my belief that God would want us all to express our God-given freedom of speech as set down by the founding fathers. the folks at ED are only fighting the good fight by sticking it to those who would wish to silence contrary opinion.

  3. Sites like that just make me think that there has got to be something better someone can do with their time. Although I suppose one could also say that about my little blog.

  5. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Anonymous!!! No, not hardly, but it is true that even such things as Encyclopedia Dramatica are all part of the plan that He set into motion long before He created this world in order to accomplish His purposes.

  6. Thanks for stopping by again(?), my dear Anonymous!!! Yes, I wholeheartedly agree with you, and ALL things will eventually be brought out into the Light of His absolute truth for all to clearly see. By the way, since you are so sure of fighting the good fight--why hide under the cloak of anonymity?

  10. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear BadGal!!! Well, at least Encyclopedia Dramatica is something to point to when someone tries to insist that things aren't as bad as "they" say.

By the way, did you bring up the URL for "Kittens" that one of them left in a comment here? If you didn't, don't.
